I would leave zero stars if i could. My friend and I just moved in town from alabama after graduating college. We went to get a drink and lunch after a day at the beach. My friend still has a vertical ID that was issued in 2022 because Alabama just recently transitioned to horizontal Ids with a star. She is planning on getting a georgia ID once she begins work in a week and thought the vertical Id wouldn’t be an issue because we are 22 almost 23. I have a horizontal ID because it was issued in 2024. They took our IDs before service and then what I assume was the manager came out and asked for another form of Identification. We only had our debit cards and REAL ids with us. They told us they could not serve us which is fine because we are both bartenders as well and understand being uncomfortable with service if you’re unsure about the ID being real. The part that got us is that the manager continued to list the reasons why she thought my friend’s Id was fake and then proceeded to bend HER REAL ID in half. I told her I could call the police if she was so unsure and felt the need to bend my friends Id like that. She said there’s nothing she could do and they could not serve us. We left but with a now ruined real id, next time we should’ve just called the police. Shame on the manager for feeling the need to ruin my friends ID instead of just handing it back and...
Read moreSo me and my mom and my sister, love seafood, and a couple restaurants we’ve been to just did not satisfy us. Everybody has been recommending this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. we sat at the bar in order to have a couple drinks with our food. we don’t drink, but we wanted to try some of the cocktails so we wanted to get them virgin. First of all the service in this restaurant is absolutely fantastic. They are quick and efficient, but yet they are super sweet making sure that all our needs were met asking if we needed anything constantly checking on us Refilling our waters and then the bartender was phenomenal. I think she said her name was sabina if I remember correctly. She was so nice answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable. And she made phenomenal virgin cocktails. They were so good. The perfect pineapple was my favorite I know working in a restaurant is tough. I work in one myself. This is how restaurant workers should be. management You’re doing a great job with your staff. Sabina needs a raise! We absolutely loved her and will definitely be back! I hope to meet whoever owns this place personally just to give my...
Read moreTwo young ladies came into your bar and you perceived their id to be fake. A manager came to explain the situation but that manager wasn’t interested in taking care of the guests. The manager was interested in performance. It’s fine to refuse service if you question the id. That is YOUR liquor license on the line. Your job and livelihood. It’s one thing to refuse service. It’s another to embarrass a guest, accuse them of lying, and physically destroy their property. But instead of simply handing it back, the manager decided to put on a performance, listing off reasons she “just didn’t buy it” and then bending the ID in half. A real ID. Now destroyed. No apology. No accountability. Just condescension and a shrug.
You don’t get to damage someone’s legal ID just because you’re unsure. That’s not protocol. That’s ego.
That ID is now unusable. And no one’s offering to replace it.
So here’s my suggestion: Take the $40 it costs to replace that ID and invest it in a training program, not for checking fakes, but for checking your attitude.
Because right now, what’s missing isn’t awareness—it’s basic decency.
This wasn’t policy. It was pettiness dressed up...
