I attended this program August of 24. I gave this school my all for 1 full year despite all Of the obstacles the teachers threw at me. Drug screens after passing exams. They will even give you a shorter test to throw you down the TYLER AM nursing program is horrible This school is a complete rip off they just want your cheap tuition money to get you in and get you out they also will tell you that each day that you are in class. They will constantly remind you they will get you out for little to nothing. The instructors a very rude the program is a rip off they change the students of their color grades.and offer many chances to other students during clinical check offs. Which is not allowed the campus never has supplies but you pay a large fee in your tuition. They will lie on you and pretty much say anything to get you out especially if you are a student of color Iâve had good grades each semester but still battling the staff each and every day while chasing a degree for your children it will make you cry each day just giving me a hard time for no reason.if your looking for a fair shot this is not a place to go they will spit you out for no reason simply because the teachers donât want you to succeed.lastly many times Iâve reported these actions and they are always over looked and of course they will counsel you as if your the one wrong. There are NO RIGHTS to protect students at all only the right for the teachers not to discriminate against sexuality. I made it to the finish line and these teachers put me down loud and proud. Please save yourself some time they literally try to ruin ur life Iâve reported Kilgore mwape Wiggins and lary nothing was ever done I contacted and sent messages to higher authority and as a black woman your Always over looked they only want a few black students to make it while the minority is are the other race itâs very sickening...
Read moreI attended TJC this past fall and had to end it short sadly due to my decision. but anyways school is wonderful depends on the indivisuals expectations. The staff and admin do their job to the best of their ability, I stayed on campus so i got the full experience. the RA's are cool and very serious about their job; got in trouble onth my terms but thats because the rules they set which could use a little revising too. The students are all friendly. TJC is like one big family literally. The complaints that were mentioned about the financial aid are true I delt with a little frustrations before school started but being that the way my mother and father are they made sure we stayed on top of what was needed to be turned in that consisted of calling everyday and on the hour of every hour and thats how you have to be with them becuase they can be a little unorganized. The cafe isnt the best, you have to have a meal plan its required if you have a dorm but anyways the cafe wasnt what you called delightful all that money and it could atleast get better quality food but anyways the breakfast and lunch were probably the only time they would do right sometimes..so yes you could say i skipped out more than alot of meals so no freshmen 15 for me. The enviroment is safe always security around and very friendly make sure you have your i.d. and lanyard OHMYGOD I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH TO WEAR YOUR LANYARD the security will not stop bugging you about that and will give you a fine. Overall my experience was nice I hope you all decide to go I promise every school is not perfect but give this one a chance very home like feel and youll make friends instantly and by the way they have...
Read moreSaying that the service of the Financial Aid department and other departments is poor to fair is being quite generous. The condescending attitude of the staff is below marginal. You can never ask a simple question and get a simple answer. The staff in the financial aid department act as if they are doing you a wonderful favor and give answers in a tone that is so unprofessional and a complete turn off or you get no answer at all. Also, a lot of students try to answer questions. My son goes to a Division 1 college and received his financial aid before school started in August and he applied late! My daughter was not awarded her financial aid until Halloween and its a junior college! Then they have to nerve to outsource some of the financial aid work! And then you really can't get an answer. Really, if a public school can afford to outsource the work, something is very wrong. Also, the college advisors are a bunch of pimps. They really try to sell the remedial courses to you and make you feel good about it. My daughter took the Accuplacer and did not pass, NO ONE passes at 35 bucks a pop (cash only by the way). If you don't pass the math, you have to take a four part remedial course that adds up. Oh yeah, this is a four part course that goes against your GPA but you receive no credits. That is some BS. These pimps will not get anymore of my money. Bottom line is if you cannot write a check to this twilight zone of un-professionalism and SLOWNESS, prepare yourself to deal with what is in store. Come with a drink and a bible, you...
