Raley's — Local services in Ukiah

I called in looking for a specific brand of dog food; my little dog is a picky eater and dislocated her hip yesterday and will not eat anything else.

We were very specific and insisted that they check and have it in their hands so there would be no miscommunication, this Raleys location is over an hour drive from my home.

I arrived just now and they do not even carry the dog food! They never have. They simply lied to us out of laziness or something worse. I now just drive another 2.5hours in the opposite direction to Sacramento.

The person who helped us lied to the manager and said we were told that they did not carry the dog food, but carried something similar. This is simply not true or possible, we are painfully aware of the alternatives, there is no room for experimentation.

The food in question is the Purple Bag of Blue Buffalo dog food for TOY breeds. They had us drive here under false pretenses to try and sell us the food for "small" dogs, one that our can will/not eat.

It would have taken them 2 minutes to leave the office and actually check the shelves, instead of having me drive 2 ours out of my way in the wrong direction while my dog suffers. They should lose their job and management should be checked. What a...

We visit this store on a regular basis since moving to ukiah. Unfortunately I don't really know any of the employees names, but as far as I am concerned it does not matter as they all are a delight to talk to. This location very much understands the value of their employees, or at least that's how I see it as a customer. I don't think I've seen one employee who didn't look happy to be there.

I would like to put extra emphasis on a young man who is a cashier, I can only identify his as the guy with the dreadlocks. This young man is one of the last faces you see before you leave the store and he has the ability to make you want to come back. Always a smiling face, always thankful, and always fun. The deli and bakery employees also have an excellent ability to make you feel like you are valued as a customer. We always order our deli meat shaved and cheese very thin. We understand this is not an easy task as it takes strength and patience, but they always do it with a smile and perfectly layer the cheese to make it easier to pull apart.

Raley’s bakery in Ukiah absolutely SLAYS. For my daughter’s birthday in June, we had originally tried to order from Safeway. I had tried to order a month in advance and was instructed to order a few days before her party. When I tried to do this, they told me they were too booked and they couldn’t do anything for me. I was panicked, and had no cupcakes just a few days before her party. I called Raley’s and even though they were booked for graduation season, he came through for me and made me the most beautiful rainbow cupcakes. When it came time to order cupcakes for my son's birthday, I immediately knew to order from Raley’s. The customer service in the bakery department was top notch. They were so sweet and helpful. When they didn’t have the sprinkles I wanted they told me that they could use whatever I brought in order to ensure I got what I wanted.
