This is going to be a long review with specific kudos for some very special team members who consistently go above and beyond to care for our child.
OT Jessica R and ST Jessica G-You are both amazing clinicians, always positive, smiling and happy. Your creativity and encouragement is very appreciated. Your expertise is evident and results are apparent already.
Supervisor Tennille- your support and kindness truly made a difference!
Terrence and the entire team of Security Officers- your friendly greetings make us feel welcome and safe. Thank you!
Tirah (2nd floor check in)- thank you for helping to adjust our appointment times so we could accomplish so much in one day. You were positive, efficient, and went out of your way to assist us. I appreciate that you didn’t try to “pass the buck” and you were comfortable talking directly to the provider to confirm that the schedule change worked for them as well.
Melissa (Family Faculty)- you are a tremendous support. Your empathy and kindness along with your sense of humor were appreciated. You truly get the struggles that we are dealing with.
Elizabeth (Family Faculty)- wow! You are an advocate and resource and just radiate positivity. Thank you for all you do. You treat every family and team member with such a high level of compassion.
This facility is spotless. Even with the high volume of patients there is never a bathroom that isn’t fully stocked or a hallway that isn’t shiny and clean. Thank you for providing some waiting areas that are quiet/private and alternative seating as busy times can be a bit loud and overwhelming.
Is there a long wait for some services? Sure, but once you are there you are treated with such a high level of care it is hopefully worth the wait.
Could the registration and check in process be improved? Yes and I’m sure that is a work in progress. When you check in on MyChart you get a QR code. The check in people say they don’t have a qr scanner so they have to mark that you have arrived.
Please consider offering alternative incentives besides stickers. Some kids are into stickers, others are not. And some parents are terrified of stickers being stuck to car windows or furniture. Perhaps there is an opportunity to partner with local businesses or organizations to provide small tchotchkes or toys for those who don’t get excited by a sticker.
I see there are some vending machines in the lobby. Because of the volume of patients (and staff) is there an opportunity to get a coffee cart, food truck, or other refreshment vendor? Parents, kids, and I’m sure the staff get hungry or need a caffeine boost!
Thank you for reading my review and considering my suggestions. We appreciate all you do and are grateful to...
Read moreThis establishment is terribly unorganized. I had to take FMLA leave back in October to care for my autistic daughter and I needed the nurse practitioner who treated her to sign off on the paperwork for my employer. I contacted the staff to see if I needed to make an appointment or if I could just fax the paperwork over to them for the nurse practitioner to sign. The receptionist put me through to this voicemail that bounced back to the operator and she transferred me back to the same exact extension. I left a message and no one called back. I gave them a couple of days since on the voicemail, it's clearly stated that I would receive a call back in the next 24 hours, which they never did. I kept calling and calling with no response to any of the messages I left for weeks. I ended up losing my claim thanks to these peoples lack of understanding to the urgency of my situation. I had to reapply for FMLA leave again. When I finally did get a call back, we were informed that the nurse practitioner only works 2 days a week and her assistant was on leave! No wonder why you Can't get an appt for months! No one told me this and if I would have known that, I could have gotten help elsewhere! Terrible communication and horrible clerical staff. Luckily, when the nurse practitioner was available, she was able to sign off on the paperwork and I was able to take my leave. Now I'm in a situation where I've applied for an extension for FMLA. Sadly, I have to go through this terrible staff once again . I cannot get another Dr to sign off on this. I called them to have the nurse practitioner sign off on my paperwork once again. Same scenario. I called yesterday, receptionist answers and puts me through to the same redundant voicemail that promises a phone call in one business day which is a joke because they do not call you back. But their accounting dept is quick to send you that $900 bill in the mail for a 20 minute...
Read moreWe had a horrendous experience here. They robbed us of over a year of time out of our young son's life. We could have been helping him instead of wasting our time with them. We had a terrible experience with this facility. We waited 6 months for an appointment with a doctor. That appointment was canceled a few hours before the appointment. I was told we'd be able to get fast tracked for another appointment. We had to wait ANOTHER 6 months, making it a ONE YEAR wait for our initial appointment. We arrived a little early for the appointment and proceeded to wait for over an hour to see the doctor. When were finally seen by the doctor she said "Sorry for the wait but those people really needed to be seen." The "doctor" then proceeded to inform me that she wouldn't do the test that we had waited a year for and instead would administer another test. The doctor had an extremely heavy accent and my son couldn't understand half of what she was saying, requiring me to essentially translate the majority of the test - which skewed the results. We couldn't even complete the test and had to return to finish it. After completing the test and making a diagnosis, she gave me the worst possible parenting advice a doctor could possibly give. SHE TOLD ME WE SHOULD HIDE HIS DIAGNOSIS FROM HIS SCHOOL. We followed her advice for a few months, leading to a complete train wreck at school. When I canceled his follow up meeting, an administrator reached out to me and said something would be done about our experience. Nothing was done. I later logged on to the patient portal to find NO MENTION of that doctor on my son's records. Instead, another doctor's name was entered into his records. I later found out this doctor was a fellow and no longer with the hospital. When I pressed an administrator about this inconsistency in the records, she ghosted me. We're finally getting him properly evaluated, no thanks to...
