This is Abanoub Shenouda, I am continuing my last review. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE DECIDING TO GO TO THE SCHOOL! We were still getting our work done and our grades were 70 and up and our attendance in each class were from 65 and up and Mr Baton was always telling us that we were good as long as we make up our work and we thought he was being honest and trying to help us but he is THE BIGGEST LIAR! We moved to New Jersey a month before we got dropped out FOR NO REASON. It was the last week of the class and we had Wednesday and Thursday off so our instructor told us that we would take the final exam at home and that the exam would be closed by 10:30(thatâs usually when are class is also done). Wednesday at 8:40pm me and my girl logged in to the final exam and after about 15 mins they logged us out, we thought it was a problem with the system, but it wasnât. We also took a video for proof! On Monday the new class started we went to the school and walked in the class and Mr Baton said you guys are not in the system go talk to Kevin(night class director) THAT DOESNâT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ANYTHING! WE WENT AND SHOWED HIM THE VIDEO and that they didnât GRADE OUR LAST 2 weeks of assignments and labs and also the final exam! Our grade was 54 without being graded for the 2 weeks of work and the passing grade is around 60! HE RESPONDED WITH I DONâT KNOW ALL I SEE IS THAT YOU GUYS ARENâT IN THE SYSTEM AND THAT WE SHOULD TALK TO THE AUTOMOTIVE DIRECTOR because he is in CHARGE! We told him that he NEVER emailed us back or called us back. We also showed Kevin our attendance and he said if your attendance is under 50% he would drop you out automatically, but our attendance was 55%(BECAUSE THEY NEVER PUT THE EXCUSE PAPERS IN THE SYSTEMS FOR MY COURT FROM THE CAR CRASH AND THE HOSPITAL 5 days total) so we came out with nothing from Kevin so we tried to call the automotive program director and after a day calling him he finally picked up he didnât want to listen to us kept on saying all the dumb excuses in the world first he said the financial aid stopped paying for us and then he said itâs because our attendance been under 50% since we started school and thatâs a automatically a drop out so I told him it 55% if thatâs the case he kept on running from that answer and then I told him why didnât you drop me out 3,4 month ago if my attendance been under 50% he didnât answer that either so I asked him nicely if he can send me a paper that says why I got dropped out with a prove and he said he canât do that and he just hanged up on us and was sooo rude but WE KNOW THE REAL REASON WHY WE GOT DROPPED OUT AND ITS SO DISRESPECTFUL WHAT THEY DID AND ASUMED MY GIRL OF DOUNF PLEASE READDDD MY NEXT COMMENT ITS THE LAST AND FINAL ONE THAT HAVE ALL THE INFORMATION BECAUSE I DONT WANT ANYONE TO EXPERIENCE THIS SCAM ITS A...
Read moreI used to attend the Union, NJ location. This was between the years of 2005-2007. I know that it has been 15 years since then, but after seeing the negative reviews that were most recent, I can back up those negative reviews as confirmed facts. This whole entire establishment may as well be considered a scam operation. Even though there were instructors that seemed to have taught well(such as the likes of Addiss Jordan, Joseph Barra, and Randy Moats),there were bad instructors such as the likes of Francis Farrell who had harbored a sense of hatred and contempt for all the students that were new there. That particular man had no respect for anyone and would harass and even threaten students at random as well as also treating them as less than human. Administration was no better in their attitude. I can only imagine what Jim Belluci would think of this place if he was still there. I'm not sure he is though at this point. I can verify that students who did attend in recent years were telling the truth about the instructors making the students teach themselves. It was the same in 2005-2007 as it is now. The bad instructors would then be disrespectful to the students with impunity if there was something that they did not understand as well as drop their overall GPA. I can also verify that there may have been criminals and thugs attending that location since I had witnessed several fights during those years and had kept one from taking place with the help of a few civilized students that caught it before happening as well.
Overall, this was not a good experience back then, and I feel for some of these newer students with the same problems because the same happened to me. I had literally given up on the last few months because of this facility and overall sub-par services and provisions. It is far from a reliable learning environment. My only regret was that I didn't leave before the first month was finished. I would have saved myself a lot of trouble had I left before the first month was up. My advice to any prospects out there is this: "Do your own research on other alternatives. If all else fails, get into a real time trade such as welding, carpentry or even electrician work as a paid apprentice for 4 years. Do not go to any trade school establishment with this many negative reviews or high turnover rate of staff."
FYI, Lincoln Tech, don't bother sending any automated responses. It's only a matter of time before you end up closing your doors for good with the current course you...
Read moreI graduated in April of 2019. 3.9 or so GPA, 95+ attendance . I was in the electrical program. Looking back and now being in the Commercial/industrial field for 5/6 months this school is lacking a lot . I learned more from off topic conversations with the instructors regarding the electrical field than the actual classroom tasks. Iâm going to break down the 12 classes. Intro 101 Mr. Payne bit of a bully for no reason. But overall an important class and he takes his job seriously so I can respect him. Material application 102 Mr. Santiago dude doesnât know about pipe bending I promise you that. I had the luck of being in a class with Mr. Dempster who was a student but a lifetime electrician. Who is now a teacher there. 103 Good class Mr. Cambridge a genius and a good man knows what he teaches 104 105 basically a course on wiring both should be one class because itâs really the same. Mr. Thomas was cool , but he spent more time on the phone than actually teaching . 106 Motor controls I had Mr. Nephew people hate on him quite a bit for his âextended breaksâ but he knows more than anyone in the building you just have a ask him questions and get him talking. But I learned so much besides motors in his class . This class was the one that set me up the most for my field and I thank Mr. Nephew. 107 computer and networking boring as hell shouldnât be a course they donât even have an actual teacher to teach this month to month so that need to take care of that 108-111 security fire alarms and AV Home Theater all are solid courses cctv was boring and not super fun. Fire alarms is great but Mr. Russell is a bit overboard in his teaching style I felt like a middle schooler. But I did remember a lot from the course and even tho Iâm not specifically in that field my company does from time to time do some fire alarm work so Iâm glad for that course but the rest are okay 112 is a good course you combine the last 3 and integrate them all Overall this school needs...
