I'm not sure my review will even matter based on the extremely low Google Review Score, but I am so aggravated and disgusted by the experience I just had at this CVS pharmacy, I had to say something. All of my prescriptions are on auto refill at this CVS location. One of my scripts should have been auto refilled on 12/17/23. On 12/26, I checked the app and it didn't auto refill. So I put thru a refill on the app. I got an e-mail confirmation that the order was received. Today, 12/29, I check the app because I didn't get the daily text reminders that my RX was ready. It didn't even show on the app that it was refilled. So I did it again. When I checked a few hours later, the RX said cancelled, please call the pharmacy. I then spent the next 2 + hours on hold trying to get thru to the pharmacy. By 10 pm, I decided to get dressed and go there as no one was answering the phone in the pharmacy. I went to the RX drop off window and stood there for almost 5 minutes before even being acknowledged. When someone finally did acknowledge me, I then waited again for the pharmacist to come over. I told him the situation and he looked up my RX and said that it denied as a duplicate and asked if I had filled it elsewhere. I did not, as this is the only pharmacy I go to. He then called my insurance to see what the issue was. From the conversation I heard, it appears that someone at this CVS processed my RX thru my insurance, but never actually filled it, which is why it denied as a duplicate. Kevin, the pharmacist got my RX ready quickly, which was the only positive of this evenings experience with this CVS location. While he was ringing me up, I asked if it is custom to ignore ALL phone calls. He then proceeds to tell me that they were backed up and trying to get caught up. WRONG ANSWER. It is extremely unprofessional and unbelievable poor customer service to ignore all phone calls. During the 30 minutes or so that I was there I could hear the automated voice say "one pharmacy phone call" over and over again, and no one ever answered it. I called for over 2 hours. There were at least 5 people working in the pharmacy that I could see, possibly more. Someone should be responsible for taking phone calls. Kevins response was absolutely absurd. Obviously, if he thought it was acceptable that no one should answer the phones, his staff learns from his example. Shame on you Kevin. You should never be too busy for good customer service. It's not the first time I've had issues at this CVS. I've been shorted on more than one occasion by as many as 23 and 17 pills from my prescriptions. If my insurance didn't dictate that I use CVS to fill prescriptions, I most certainly wouldn't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor a 97 year old woman who had arranged a Covid booster for a specific date and time, Walgreens incompetence at fulfilling their obligations is almost criminal. The app worked smoothly to book the appointment, and a text and email confirming date and time came through as expected. We arrived early, only to find a 2 two! lines with over a dozen people each waiting. (One line for check in, the second line waiting for actual vaccinations). Some people on the line had been waiting over 45 minutes already. Many were on the phone rescheduling pickup rides, childcare or workshifts. Multiple sick people walking to and back on the lines to the pharmacy counter, needlessly risking extensive exposure to all these unvaccinated persons.
There was no text or email message warning that they were running so far behind schedule, and to come back later. No short-line for the disabled or elderly who can barely stand. There were not enough seats for those who needed to wait.
I was able to speak briefly with a worker, who indicated this was not a one-off occurrence because of a random event. This was routinely happening every day. I asked why did they schedule appointments if they donāt have the staff and bandwidth to handle it? They said complain to corporate. I guess their store manager has no one to report to?
Instead I am writing this review. Maybe someone from corporate will see it. Maybe someone from the State or Federal government who is subsidizing vaccinations will see the Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA) occurring here. Or maybe a clever lawyer will figure out a way to initiate a class action suit on the behalf of the countless people whose time was needlessly wasted by a corporation who is pumping up false appointment slots to collect subsidy dollars. Real easy to establish, just subpoena the computer record showing the original appointment times vs the actual injection times and wow ā case proven!
I would say to try the Walgreens in Union but they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOn this day I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. I was told it was out of stock but the lady double checked and told me there were 64 tablets. I told her if I could take that and she told me the check with the pharmacist Abdelaziz Khalifa. He was annoyed and told me that my prescription was for 120 tablets so that it wasnāt enough and if he gives me what they have, then I cannot come back for the rest of the prescription even when theyāre back in stock. I said it was okay, and he said ok Iāll give you the what we have. When I went to pick it up, it was a 30 day supply with only 30 tablets which confused me because my doctor left me a voicemail and online notes indicating it was 2 times a day so 30 tablets isnāt even enough for 30 days. When I went back to the pharmacist, he ignored me while he and cashier Neil discussed their interaction with a previous customer and how they were both admittedly rude to the customer from earlier in the day because they didnāt like how he approached the counter. When he finally asked me what I needed, I asked him why I didnāt receive the 60 tablets we discussed. MHis response was because he needed the rest of it for other patients who may need the prescription. I told him this isnāt okay because I couldāve had the prescription sent to another pharmacy if I wouldāve known he was only giving me 30 tablets. He was very dismissive and said oh well next time go to another pharmacy. He refused to even make eye contact with me or apologize for misinforming me with what he was doing to do with the prescription order. Iāve never been treated with such rudeness or disdain from...
