Every time I drop an instrument off for repair, an installment or for a tune-up, they never call you back. Twice I called to ask to speak with Jim, the guitar tech, and was told each time he would call back to discuss details with my guitar. No call backs, each and every time I go there. I’ve been taking my business to N’Stuff music in New Kensington. It’s a trip but their staff actually communicate and are way more responsive about any work being done. On another note, I had a friend who took her bass to Micarellis 3 years ago before the pandemic. She kept calling and to check on it and they would keep telling her it’s being worked on. FOR 3 YEARS. I finally went down and took it back off of them. It sat on a shelf in pieces buried underneath other guitar parts. Dust on it revealed it hasn’t been touched in a while. We went to Micarelli Modern Music to check out a guitar the other guitarist was interested in. When entering the store one would be pleasantly surprised at the amount of merchandise this store offers. They take pride in their store and everything is absolutely showroom shape. Clean, polished and ready to be sold. Both the owner and the salesman were fantastic to talk to and have a great understand what musicians are looking for. From guitar setups to great deals on equipment you can't go wrong at MICARELLI Modern Music. Give them a call or better yet go there in person and enjoy the great selection of music instruments they have available that you can walk out the door with that day. I have visited this shop and bought more than 15 guitars here. The owner of the shop Carl Micarelli has set the standard for customer service. He strives to help his customers find exactly what they need. His shop still has the feel of a local business that fosters an inclusive atmosphere for people who love music. I am an avid guitar collector with over 40 guitars in my collection and my favorite ones have come from Carl's shop. I have been to many different music stores ie Guitar Center, Sweetwater, C&H music in New Orleans but Micarelli's is my favorite.
