Blue Moon Cafe — Restaurant in South Union Township

The smell inside was horrible. We were a large group (14) so decided to stay. My husband, myself and 2 daughters sat at a table. 2 girls were working the establishment, after 25 minutes we were served by a very pleasant young lady. While we sat waiting for our food the other girl who was working called my husband over and accused him of ordering food from her as well as the waitress who had come to our table. My husband said it wasn't him that had ordered from her and she started a verbal confrontation with my husband claiming of course that she was correct. As it turns out she had taken an order from another man who was with us and by her mistake put his order on our tab. She did not apologize for her error and was very rude although the mistake was hers. We waited just about an hour to get our food, although the food was good the wait was long and the rest of our group had already finished their meals. We had wings, salad and a stir fry, nothing that should have taken that...

I have been on a meatloaf kick. So I'm drilling through Blue Moon's ample menu and BINGO, meatloaf. Our server was very attentive, personable and knew the menu as is usually the case when I've been there. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, Id say a great amount of time. 1 drink and a good conversation in, a check in for refills and bang! Foods on the table. You've got that nice buzz of conversation from the bar in the background, the glow of the TV's livening up the dank of the room. Good stuff, there's your atmosphere if that's your thing. I dig into the meatloaf and it's a good beefy bite. Nice creamy mashed potatoes and green beans on the side. Exactly what you want it to be, flavorful but not too greasy. A good brown gravy over the meat and potatoes seals the deal. Blue moon has a good assortment of meals, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, hell even tex-mex. But I'll be back for that meatloaf and...

I made the mistake of ordering take away from their Mexican Menu. I wanted tacos but was told they don’t make them anymore. Ok, so I ordered two burritos, one chicken, one beef. And I ordered nachos. NEVER AGAIN! They don’t know anything about making Mexican food!! Shredded lettuce, overcooked ground beef, a tomato slice, some cheese, i think, and what may have been a dab of sour cream rolled up in a big dough tortilla. Awful!!! The nachos in a large styro box were potato chips not nacho chips!!!! Sadly, I did not realize all of this until I got it home and started opening the boxes. Oh, and the food was cold. Does anyone know how to nuke a burrito? On the bright side, their soups are really good, as is there Philly steak and cheese. I recommend ordering this...
