EDIT: This is very sad to write, as I was SO excited when this location opened because, aside from Starbucks and Panera, this area really lacks cafes that actually stay open past the afternoon. My mom and I came here all summer and while we love the coffee and pastries, the extremely unprofessional and rude customer service makes it so unwelcoming, we don't think we'll be coming back. At best, the employees just completely ignore you, don't say a word when you go up to the register, and act like they hate their job so much they can't even muster a simple "Hi, what can I get for you" or "have a nice day". At worst, you are confronted with an extremely rude, downright scary employee who wears a dirty sweatshirt, has a scraggly beard, and as other reviews mentioned, he coughs as he takes your order and then handles your food and drinks. It's as if he was in prison for armed robbery and it's now part of his parole to work here, but I highly doubt that's the case. I don't know who is doing the hiring, but my dog could do a better job picking employees whose entire job is to serve customers. If you're too scared, shy, or angry to do the bare minimum and be somewhat welcoming, don't work in customer service. And I say that as someone who spent 10 years in the service industry, bartending and waitressing, so I'm very patient and understanding. But the treatment you get at this place is so uncomfortable and unacceptable, we will sacrifice the super convenient location, great hours, and great coffee if it means not being treated like complete dirt by the employees. Really a shame.
I'm SOOOO happy this location opened and is actually open til 9 EVERY night!! I moved to PA 6 years ago from New York and it's been impossible to find coffee shops that are open past 3 other than Starbucks or Panera, which are fine but not very atmospheric or somewhere you want to hang out. My mom and I went here for the first time yesterday and we LOVED it!! Finally somewhere to go in the evening that's not a bar, has great coffee and pastries/snacks, with a beautiful atmosphere and patio!
We look forward to coming back regularly and I will be telling all of my friends and clients as well. These local coffee shops who close at 3 need to learn something from Paris Baguette! Most people work til 5 pm and not everyone stops drinkkng coffee past 3 pm, it makes no sense 🤦♀️Thank you for opening and being open in...
Read moreOh wow, Paris Baguette, you really outdid yourselves! I ordered the strawberry cream bread expecting a sweet, fruity delight—but surprise! It tasted like banana. Because who needs accuracy or quality, right? The ingredient list looked like a chemistry experiment gone wrong—so unhealthy I had to toss half of it. The chocolate-filled bun? Meh. Nothing remotely special, just your average mediocre pastry.
But wait, it gets better! The pièce de résistance: actual mosquitos and a HUGE fly chilling on all the fresh baked goods like it owned the place. Naturally, we wisely chose only the packaged items (because who wants a side of insects with their snack?). Truly disgusting and utterly disappointing.
Thanks for the memorable experience, Paris Baguette. Never coming back—for the pastries or the...
Read moreBeware. This is the 2nd location we visited It was an hour before closing so there wasn’t much to choose from. But. The center case that is self serve, had gnats or fruit flys inside! Totally unacceptable and disappointing. They were all over the pastries that had berries on it and who knows what else they landed on. There were cinnamon sticks placed in little containers that I guess were supposed to deter them or kill them. But it wasn’t working. I said something to the girl and she said the owner is aware. Gnats and fruit flys means something isn’t clean. Technically everything in that case should have been thrown out once the bugs were discovered and thoroughly cleaned. Be careful at...
