WHO THE HECK EATS JUST ONE TACO for $17.50 a person (cost w/delivery) - DO NOT ORDER CATERING FROM CHIPOTLE WITHOUT GETTING THE FACTS FIRST. First off, we ordered the Triple Build your own Taco for 10 people and got 5 crispy shells and 5 soft shells. I looked on the order and it does not specify how many shells come with the order, nor does it allow you to order extra shells. It appears each selection (crispy or soft) is considered a package, but it doesn't state the package quantity, but one would think at least 10 of each (crispy and soft) When I called to complain, I got a central customer service center, who would NOT connect me directly to the restaurant to confirm what we should have received. He told me, however, the "TRIPLE" only comes with 5 crispy and 5 soft. He said I should have gotten bowls, I said crispy taco bowls, and he said no plastic bowls. We did not get either type of bowl, but seriously who eats a taco from a plastic bowl, the package was marketed as make your own taco? As I stated, bare minimum, the package should come with 10 crispy and 10 soft shells, 2 per person, would be reasonable, but honestly I would think even a little more than 10 & 10. And the kicker was, when I asked to speak to someone higher in management when speaking with the central "call center" the person told me he could not do that, he could only send me a feedback form within 48 hours and I said that's not really desired, that I should be able to speak to someone now, especially since we didn't even get the "plastic" bowls, he proceeded to hang up on me.
TO CLARIFY, the 5 crispy & 5 soft is CORPORATE policy , not restaurant policy. The food that we received was good, but as a consumer you have basically no ability to speak with the restaurant directly, you have to go through a central call center which has limited ability to provide and immediate response. Jacob the general manager of the store, did try to address this issue once he was made aware, but it took a little time, so that gesture was much appreciated, and why I changed service from...
Read moreI'm usually a big fan of Chipotle, but my recent visit left me feeling underwhelmed and overcharged. The main culprit? The portion sizes. I ordered the burrito bowl with chicken, brown rice, black beans, roasted vegetables, and guacamole. Sounds like a decent meal, right? Wrong. The portion of chicken was laughable - it was a few sad scraps of cooked meat that barely filled half the bowl. I mean, I've seen more substantial chicken breasts at a kindergarten cafeteria. And don't even get me started on the rice and beans. It was like they were trying to make me feel like I was eating a snack instead of a meal. The rice was sparse and the beans were barely noticeable. I had to dig around for what felt like an eternity to find a bean that wasn't already buried beneath a mountain of bland, flavorless veggies. And the price? A whopping $12.50 for what felt like a snack-sized meal. I could've gotten a full-on entree at a fancy restaurant for that price. It's not like I'm asking for a ton of food, but come on, Chipotle - you're not exactly known for your generous portions to begin with. The worst part? The employee seemed completely unfazed when I expressed my disappointment. "Sorry to hear that," she said with all the enthusiasm of someone reading from a script. No offer to refill or adjust the order, no attempt to make things right. Just a dismissive shrug and a "well, you can always go online to adjust your order next time." Um, excuse me? I'm standing right here in your store, not on your website.Needless to say, I won't be returning anytime soon unless they revamp their portion sizes (and customer service). Until then, I'll be taking my business (and appetite) elsewhere....
Read moreI placed a take out order through the app, it was for 4 burrito bowls, some toppings on the side, and a side of guacamole. The oder was ready but we were unhappy with the order for the following reasons: one of the toppings spilled and there were sauces over the lids of the bowls. *the side of guacamole was not in the bag. *there were barely any meat in the bowls and what we did get, were dried. *guacamole was added to one of the bowl and we got a teaspoon of it but paid as charged. *wrong toppings were added to 3 of the bowls. I discovered that the side guacamole was not in the bag and asked for it. I was told they were out of guacamole. I guess that's why we only got a teaspoon of it in the bowl. And why weren't I made aware of it prior to picking up the order or when I picked up the order? The staff informed me that she could either give me something else, give me a refund or I can wait 15 minutes for it as they are making it. I didn't want to wait and asked her to give me my reward points back for the side of guacamole. She said she couldn't do that, I will have to speak to customer service. I didn't want to do that and decided to wait. Once home, we found that all 4 bowls were either missing toppings or had toppings that weren't ordered. It was a very disappointing experience, and we were extremely dissatisfied with the food. My children usually finished their bowls and last night, they didn't even...
