We are in Panama City Beach Florida for my husband's birthday. He needed a good therapeutic massage. I looked online and read several reviews, before I called TBS. I was excited to read all the great reviews about "Jill". I called and booked 2 massages at 10:30am on Wednesday, August 5 2016, 1 for my husband and 1 for my father as a surprise , so my mom and I could get everything for my husband's birthday dinner. I had to prepay for the massages in order to book them ($115.00 for deep tussie 1 1/2 hrs & $90.00 a sweedish 1 1/2 hr). I have never had to do that at other massage spa. They called on Tuesday and changed the time from 10:30 to 10:45, said the therapist need the extra time between massages. Well when we got there, Jill was not even there. We'll my dad was not feeling well so he did not want to get his massage. The lady who was helping us, said they charge a 20% fee for massages not cancelled 24hrs in advance because the could have booked another appointment for that time slot. I was not upset until the Jill came in (around 11:05) and said well my policy is to not do a refund at all. Which was not what I was told by the other lady. Well Jill said I am doing you a favor by just charging you the 20%. In the meantime they took my husband back, I made his appointment with Jill, because of the reviews I read about her. While we were discussing the 20% charge, the lady behind the counter booked her a massage in this time slot. So no money lost. She did not do his massage, as a matter of fact she left the spa claiming she had left her wallet at home and needed to go get before her next clients came in. I agreed to pay the 20% because she would have lost an hour fee because my dad did not cancel 24hrs before. Well we left to go pick up the things for my husband's dinners, while he wad getting his massage. When we picked him up we were discussing his massage, it was not happy. He did not get a deep tussie massage. He said it was more like a sweedish and the therapist did not shut up the entire time. A madsage is supposed to be relaxing and therapeutic, instead the therapist told her life story. She did not concentrate on his problem areas. This experience was completely unprofessional and we are dissatisfied with their service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Jill is the owner and I would expect more from...
Read moreMy husband and I are here this week for our 40th anniversary. We had wanted to check out the lymphatic drainage massage & possible trigger point therapy. We found Beach Therapeutic Massage and OMG it had to be the most amazing experience ever for both of us.
I scheduled 90-minute lymphatic drainage massages for both of us. The place was very clean, the atmosphere was very relaxing & the people were very friendly.
My husband had his massage with Jill & he said she did an amazing job (which hearing that from him does not happen often). She started out with the very relaxing lymphatic drainage massage & spent the last part of the massage doing trigger point on his shoulders. She did cupping on his shoulder & he said while the cupping was a bit intense it felt much better afterwards!
Jeremiah did my massage, and he was awesome! He was very friendly and explained what he was doing as he worked on my extremely tight shoulders, arms & hands. He gave great health tips and suggestions for stretching at home to help relieve the intense pain in my shoulders.
Jeremiah & I discussed healthy eating, & how to better take care of myself. Jeremiah is amazing and I highly recommend him. We will definitely be back next year, and I will be scheduling a couple of massages with Jill & Jeremiah!! Well worth the time...
Read moreI got my wife a massage to help deal with some of the pregnency aches and pains, and when she got home she said it was the worst massage she's ever had. She usually goes to massage envy, but decided to try this place out, and it was the biggest waste of $80 ever. The masseuse was very rude, didn't introduce herself, didn't ask where the trouble spots were, didn't have any pillows for my wife, and didn't warm up the massage oil before using it. She also didn't even give a proper massage....she just kind of pinched her a lot. She also focused the whole massage on her legs and feet, all while my wife was stating that her back hurt. All of these things sounds petty, but when you're paying someone $80 to help you relax, you shouldn't leave more tense than when you arrived. My wife called to complain after I talked her into it, and basically got no help whatsoever from the owner. Didn't offer any kind of discount on a massage to redeem themselves or anything. Needless to say we'll be sticking with massage envy...
