Panama City Coffee Co — Restaurant in Upper Grand Lagoon

What a beautiful morning in Panama City Beach! We decided to go out for coffee this morning. I love to check out the local coffee shops in places we visit. There is always a style, a scent, a seating area, and usually always a very knowledgeable and job loving barista behind the counter. The coffee here at Panama City Coffee Company smelled so good and that was my first impression as I opened the door. The little shop sits in what looks like an older PCB home on the opposite side of the road from all the large condos across the street. Remember when you go that you are supporting small business. There isn't much room for large crowds so if you are planning on ordering a large order the may appreciate a call ahead.

I would love to see this place busy like the donut shop some miles down where people are waiting in long lines. I say this because this coffee shop deserves the recognition. We showed up about half an hour after opening on a Monday morning. They already had a couple of customers in line before me and customers already sitting and enjoying their orders. The shop was clean. There were so many options on the menu but we decided to try the vanilla bean with coffee added (it does not have coffee in it so this would be a great option for your little ones if you are ordering something for them) or with coffee because if you are like my husband who isn't as bougie of a flavor fanatic like I can be sometimes, white mocha and caramel mocha frappes. Of course the 16 ounce sizes had to be ordered to get our day started right. They are delicious! I am thinking about going back in the next couple of days to try something from their summer menu which is displayed in a smaller menu on the ordering counter. I tried to discreetly take photos for all of you as we were waiting on our order to be made but I was humorously caught (by an owner possibly) and of course told him that one of my favorite things was to do Google reviewing and that I was planning on leaving a review. By the way, that shows a lot about a business who actually has people there and are attentive to their customers so shout outs and kudos to him for noticing. That is a great way to know how well your customers are doing because customer satisfaction is important. It did not take long for them to make our order and we were out the door and on our way back to our condo sipping the wonderful frappes that we ordered. Panama City Coffee Co was a fantastic part of my wife and I’s recent trip to the beach. Within walking distance of the beach and lots of condos, we ended up going twice on our weekend trip. My wife got the nitro cold brew both times and it was very good. Extremely smooth, and the self serve tap is a very unique touch that I’ve not seen before. I ordered a featured shaken espresso drink our first visit and a plain hot latte the second trip to get a feel for the espresso quality. The shaken espresso drink was tasty and had a unique texture. The nature of the drink means it is mostly ice, but that isn’t a problem so long as you are aware of it beforehand. The latte was pretty good. The milk texture was probably slightly under-aerated for my personal taste. The espresso, however, was quite nice and made for an overall great latte.

Customer service was fantastic, the barista was attentive and helpful. The first visit, the store wasn’t busy and she took the time to talk with us, asking about the trip and engaging in quick conversation that made us...

We started going here when they were serving out of a trailer! Best we could find in panama city beach so weve come back every year we come down for vacation. They are super tasty! I knocked one star on food just for the fact that when they use to serve from the trailer they had a ham egg and cheese bagel that was literally to die for but it seems they've changed some things and the way they make their bagels now. still tasty tho snd worth the buy, also loved their chocolate muffins. I only knocked 1 star on service because I am very particular on the milks I use cause I have to be but I also usually hate oat milk too 😆 that being said the barista blend they use i loved but after about 3rd or 4th time coming in they had a different oat milk and I wasnt aware so I didnt really like it and wasted it unfortunately. Not a huge deal just sad I drove 20min out of my way before heading back to missouri and couldn't get the good coffee I had already had a couple times lol either way they are the best shop weve tried here and I will continue...
