Molcajetes Food Truck — Local services in Urbandale

I ordered 2 al pastor tacos and one barbacoa huarache. The meat quality of the al pastor was ho-hum when up against most of the other food trucks I've had, however the seasoning might be one of the best I've found yet. Well balanced between pineapple sweet, and the guajillo adobo spice. No pineapples to be found though.

The real star of my order was the barbacoa huarache. This thing was incredible. The barbacoa was salty (the way I like it) and cooked to perfection, as each bite melted in my mouth. The masa was perfectly crisp on the outside and still soft in the middle. Toppings included some crumbled cheese, crema, avocados, sautéed onions, raw onions, cilantro, radish, and a red sauce and a green sauce. It all tasted incredible, and I 100% will be back...

Really nice spot, trying to open up my variety and very happy with the food, prices, and a very nice atmosphere! Absolutely going to be coming back!
