Bere's Bridal Tuxedo & Formal Wear — Local services in Vallejo

My sister and I decided to try this store out as they are an authorized dealer of a certain brand. When we walked in the store (approximately 4-5 minutes) we weren't greeted. There were two young adults who looked as if they were kicking something around on the floor. My sister went to the back of the store to ask a woman for help and she called out to one of the two young adults. It turns out they were employed at this store and walked past us several times without so much as a smile or a greeting. The young woman FINALLY asked if we needed help...duh that's why we are here!

Moments later after several questions between the woman in the back and the young woman and young man in the front, the only person that could answer our question was their "Aunt" and she was busy. Fine, she's dealing with someone, but at least say she'll be with you in a moment or something professional. Finally, she gave us her divided attention and wasn't very accommodating or friendly. My sister wanted to know what size dress she should order and wanted to be fitted to better determine her sizing. But the woman's response was, "I won't fit you until you order." This sounds a bit backwards to me, don't you think?

I've had great experiences with more professional stores such as Gesinee's Bridal and David's Bridal. Bere's Bridal was extremely unprofessional, unapproachable and unfriendly. If you are getting married or are a bridesmaid I would seek another store across the bridge to...

I kept passing by this quaint, little store. It's neat downtown Vallejo and I didn't think much of it, but I told myself I'd walk in there one day to at least figure out what kind of dresses I would like. Then, I'd order online and be on my way. I was mistaken. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and immediately helped. Miss Maria was like my fairy godmother of dresses. She has such a good eye on what's going to fit. Personally, when I saw all the dresses on hangers, I couldn't see the difference. Miss Maria brought out dresses she thought I would like or dresses that would look good on me. And guuurl... Was she right! I ended up buying a dress I never knew I wanted. I used to hate the idea of mermaid dresses or anything other than white. I didn't know that there was so much more to dresses than just the style... There's the waistline and the bodice and the lace, and the weight. She helped me even when I kept going back and forth. She was so nice and easy to talk to and like I said... AMAZING EYE when it comes to style and fit. I bought a wedding dress that same day (on my birthday.) I finally didn't even care to look at the price (the dresses I looked at where from $700 to $1500). I found my dream dress and I adore miss Maria! Support local businesses! Don't bother shopping online, I promise you, it's a better feeling actually going in person and getting one on one help...

I’ve known about this store for many years. My sister got all her prom dresses here. I’m engaged and wanted to check out their selection of wedding gowns. When I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help. I was just browsing and asked if I could take a look at the larger selection of wedding gowns upstairs. The owner said I could and after about 5 minutes of looking around, she came to check on me. She told me they can special order dresses from the designer’s magazines. I was excited to see all the choices they had to offer. I went through 5 different catalogs and the owner was so patient and continued to check in on me. She even gave me little sticky notes to bookmark the gowns I liked. When I had narrowed down my choices, she found the prices for them. She was so kind and did not rush me at all. She informed me that the wedding gowns they sell have the alterations included in the price of the dress. I was sold! I’m going to make an appointment to go back and try on some dresses with my mom next weekend. I highly recommend this store and the owner. Great selection, prices, and...
