BUYER BEWARE - I’ve never had an experience quite like the one I had today at Techspot. After charging us over $200 to fix my daughter’s screen, 2 days later it begins to blacken in all corners, slowly covering the whole phone. My daughter took her phone to Florida for summer vacation, and had sent us pics of the play-by-play in which the phone was deteriorating. Once back home, we took the phone in so they could look at it, and were told “because the screen is cracked on the edges, there’s nothing we can do.” Huh? It was YOUR SCREEN you replaced just days before the screen was breaking…and that’s our fault? We were told of a great warranty program, and to come back if there were any problems. This was TWO DAYS from repair.
To top it off, that same visit one of their techs put on a new screen protector for my iPhone, and it started to bubble days after. “Nope, nothing we can do.” It’s a screen protector for goodness sakes. What does it cost them to repair it? $1 or $2? He did offer to allow me to buy another one from him, and pay for some extended warranty we weren’t offered the first time around…I’ll pass.
All we heard during our first visit was how great their warranty program was. In fact, the customer he saw right before us today was just promised the moon: “If anything should go wrong, please bring it back and we’ll take care of you.”
They’ll make you feel good on the front end, and burn you on the back. There are far more reputable places one can visit for their phone repair needs. This place is as...
Read moreMy Xbox Series X got a broken HDMI port. Now I'm mechanically and technologically proficient, and figured I could probably replace my simple HDMI port myself. So, I went to old professor YouTube and realized how freaking complicated that process actually is. I felt MUCH safer knowing they’re the experts, AND I would have a warranty on the repairs they make.
I am not one to often leave reviews. However, the customer service was so outstanding I felt the need to leave one. Their communication was amazing, and the speed of repair was baffling (they DON’T mess around).
What genuinely impressed me was the fact that they care about you as the customer and the quality of their work. My Xbox’s bad HDMI port was repaired within TWO DAYS and when I got home, it didn’t work (after being verified at the store following the repair that morning). So I took some videos of my troubleshooting, showed it to them when I got it back to them. And they freakin’ had it FIXED FIXED within 2 hours! Turned out it was just a faulty NEW part! The greatest part? Their warranty covered that new part.
I’m telling you, I won’t go to anyone else for my...
Read moreI had previously broke the screen on my iPhone, I had it replaced at another shop (it took 4 days to get it fixed) and it was immediately having problems. Purple colors on the screen, condensation on the front-facing camera and the phone would shut off and restart randomly, not knowing when it would turn back on. I broke the screen a second time (which made the problems already worse) and decided to go elsewhere to get it fixed. My sister told me about this spot and that it had a ton of good reviews and as of today, I’m one of them. The gentleman that fixed my phone was very polite, very informative and didn’t push me to buy anything extra. I gave my phone to him, and within 2 hours he had it fixed and ready to go. The price was lower to get it fixed than the first time. Now, I rarely give ratings like this, but I believe if a 6th star was available, these guys would get it. They have a customer for LIFE with me. I wouldn’t trust my electronics with...
