My spouse & I both needed eye exams & new glasses. We chose Victoria Family Eye Care & are very satisfied with our thorough exams and new lenses. Dr. Henry's office is one, of a few practices in the South Texas area, that offer NeuroLens exams and lenses. This office has cutting edge technology that truly benefits the patient / customer. At our ages ( we're in the 55+ group ) , the vascularity of our eyes is very important. Detecting early signs of cataracts and/or macular degeneration are true concerns & the technology in Dr. Henry's office gave us high- quality diagnostics. There is a wide selection of frames & our lenses were ready within the time-frames promised.
Their waiting area is very welcoming, parking is plentiful & the location is easily accessible.
EDIT applied 9/24/2024: After having my glasses a few months, the frames needed a few adjustments (earpieces) - I went in, had the adjustments made & upon arriving home, promptly discovered that the left earpiece was over-manipulated & broken by their technician. I immediately called the office & received an immediate, "we'll reorder frames for you" -- IMMEDIATE reply...Hmmm. After this, I pieced it all together---I handed this tech my glasses...she damaged them...and without ANY accountability for damaging them, she simply handed them back to me..without a care in the world for what she had done. I had reason to call the office (to complain) - and even DESCRIBED the employee...gave my detailed experience, only then, to have the very employee disclose that I was SPEAKING to HER. The level of unprofessionalism in this act alone--is absurd. After knowing who I was speaking with, I confronted her over the phone, wanting to know WHY she couldn't have just OWNED her MISTAKE...and ordered the frames BEFORE I left the office that very day I'd come in for the adjustment...She KNEW the frames were damaged...because SHE did it...yet, in her view, it was OK to damage a person's expensive property & not take responsibility or replace them AT THE TIME of the damage...She wanted a scapegoat...didn't care one IOTA about the customer...and didn't want to own her mistake. She FINALLY did state, "Fine! I broke them"! When I flat out asked, "How hard would it BE for you to just admit that you broke my glasses"? -- I told the receptionist that I actually felt sorry for the Optometrist---having such poor customer service from this person...Word of mouth is the best form of advertising...and here is mine.
What started out as a positive experience was completely destroyed---by one employee feeling that she can treat your property however she chooses...damage it...not take immediate accountability...and make the experience as if this business has done the customer some sort of FAVOR by "replacing the frames at no cost"--- News flash, lady---You "replaced" what YOU damaged.
Star rating reduced to a 3/5 ... due to one employee who's interaction with patients should be limited...She isn't doing this Optometrist ANY favors with how she...
Read moreVery nice experience! The doctor who saw me was amazing, such a nice gentlemen. He was easy to work with and seemed to actually care. The front desk staff as well as the young lady who assisted in the back were awesome as well, even with a full lobby. Only issue, which is big but didn’t want to knock stars down because of it, was being charged $25 for having to reschedule. Wife and I went in yesterday with appointments and were there early, desk could not find member information for insurance and because of the amount of people in the lobby just came out and told us we would have to reschedule my appointment. This was at 2:22pm for my 2:30pm appointment. Called later to reschedule and she told wife, “Oh, there he is! I see him now!” So paying the $25 to reschedule was, to me, a terrible thing to have to do for something that we had no control over. There was no, “We can see you and you pay out of pocket if we can’t find before you are done.” option or anything, just that I had to reschedule. I wasn’t going to say anything, and didn’t make a deal of it when I paid but since I was sent the link to leave a review I wanted to at...
Read moreSo happy we're patients at this optometrist office! My daughter & I are both patients of Dr. Kvinta and it has been a great experience every time we see him. He is thorough, conscientious, and caring, and we truly trust him to help us take complete care of our eyes. We've also been impressed by the office staff and today, my daughter was helped by Kelsey who patiently helped her learn how to put in contacts. Kelsey is so understanding & patient and really went above & beyond to make sure my daughter was able to feel confident and ready to begin wearing contact lenses. I highly recommend...
