This is an escape room unlike any other I've tried. The owners obviously put a lot of dedication and thought into their escape rooms, and it shows.

We got there early enough to be able to sit and chat with the owner, Drew. He told us about how Escape hour is a family owned company. They have multiple locations across multiple states, and each one contains unique scenarios with unique puzzles that are hand crafted. Marina did a great job of being helpful and straightforward with the rules and mechanics before leading us to our room. There were animatronics, a helpful parrot for when you got stuck and needed a clue, and tons of different puzzles to unravel. When we finished, they gave us a small "I escaped!" pin, a cute parrot sticker, and a hand written note thanking us for coming.

Other things to note: this location obviously has the advantage of being brand new, but it was extremely clean and modern. They only have the one experience for now, but said theyll have a scary themed room opening in September - just in time for spooky season! - and will eventually have 4 rooms open. They even said that if you plan on returning to do the same room a second time (whether it's because you didn't finish, or you have another group of friends who didn't get to do it before, or you want to try some of the puzzles you didn't get to do last time), then you get half off of the price! I had the rare privilege o’ joinin’ the beta test of this pirate escape room, and let me tell ye, mates… it ain’t like any escape room ye’ve ever laid eyes on. Nay, this be 1000 stars if the charts allowed it.

From the moment we stepped aboard, it felt like steppin’ into the likes o’ Disney or Universal Studios themselves. The set design be jaw-droppin’—real wood planks beneath yer boots, creakin’ riggin’ above, and a cursed cove lit by lanterns flickerin’ with ghostly fire. The attention to detail would make Walt himself clap in admiration.

But the magic ain’t just in the looks—no, this place breathes story. The puzzles ain’t thrown in for sport—they’re part of the legend. Each clue pulls ye deeper into a tale of betrayal, cursed gold, and forgotten crew. The effects? Real cannons, thunderin’ audio, and surprises that’ll make even the saltiest dog jump.

This ain’t just escapin’ a room. It’s livin’ a movie.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I’d hoist the Jolly Roger and chart a course straight back to Escape Hour Vineyard, because shiver me timbers, this place is LEGENDARY.

From the first step into port, we were greeted by Matt and Drew... the fearless captains of this fine vessel. These two aren’t just owners, they’re the heart and soul of the ship. Full of energy, charm, and the kind of charisma that could talk a kraken into a group hug. And don’t forget Grace, our guiding star, who made sure we didn’t sail off course (well, not too far).

We braved the infamous Rogues Cove, and as someone who's conquered nearly 40 escape rooms, let me say... this wasn’t just a room. It was a treasure. The immersion was so rich, we practically grew sea legs. The set? Movie quality. The technology? Sorcery. The storytelling? As tight as a well-tied sailor’s knot.

It’s not just an escape room, it’s a full-blown pirate saga. You’re not solving puzzles... you’re living the legend. I'd 100% go back and do Rogues Cove again just to relive the adventure (and maybe find even more hidden booty).
