I hired C&D fashion Floors in January 2023. My dad and I did the quarter round. During that process we used the incorrect type of caulking around the edge of the flooring. By the fall of 2023 our flooring had started to break, split, and separate. We were told this was directly due to the fact we did not follow the manufacturing guidelines and that we had voided our warranty. We did not feel that the damage to the floors was 100% our fault, but we accepted this answer. Jump forward for October 1 2024, we hired C&D again. We repurchased the flooring and had them pick up and replace every single piece of broken flooring. During the reinstall process the hired contractor made several statements about how badly the previous floor was installed and pointed out several areas as to where the manufacturer guidelines were not followed. Even asking if I had installed the floors myself. Once the floors were reinstalled I repeatedly asked for a signed letter stating that since the flooring had been replaced our warranty was back intact. Mike consistently said, it’s good now, it won’t happen again. Within one month the floors were separating, cracking, and breaking again. But this time at a much faster rate. This time we did not put quarter round down, and it was in the exact same state it was left it by the company who installed it. I immediately reached out to Mike, and when he provided no help, I went into the store and spoke to, who I believe was, the wife of the owner. She seemed genuinely concerned about my issues. Even stated they would get a representative from the flooring company to my house. The flooring company was scheduled however they canceled due to me not being in their jurisdiction. So once again this was handed over to Mike. During our last conversation Mike once again stated we had voided our warranty and I reminded him my flooring was completely replaced and that a new warranty is covering my current flooring. It’s been 2 months since he stated he would submit an insurance claim. My flooring continues to fall apart.
