When I made the appointment, I gave the person details about what was happening with my dryer. I assumed that information was documented. The gentleman showed up 30 minutes early to the appointment, which was fine, except that he immediately began complaining because I had attempted to fix the machine myself so I left screws off. He was annoyed that I had done anything because it was 'more work for him'. I offered to put the screws back since he was early, and he refused since he had to get to Chesapeake. (Again, my timeframe was 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and he showed up at 1:30 p.m.). He immediately go to work on the dryer without asking me anything. He showed me that when you press the start button, it doesn't actually start. I said "yeah, I know, that's what it's been doing. That's why I called." His response was "You should have told me that before I got started, I could have told you it was the computer." (Um, you're the professional, you should have asked, especially since I gave the information over the phone). I told him that I explained everything to the woman over the phone, and he responded "oh, they're just secretaries, they don't know anything." (nice, huh?). Then he told me I'd be stupid to replace the computer in my dryer since it's 14 years old. (Not kidding, those are the words he used). I asked if he thought I should go ahead and replace the washer too since it's just as old, he replied that he couldn't tell me that. (OH, but you can tell me I'm stupid to spend money on fixing a 14 year old dryer. Hmmm). I was highly disappointed in the service I received, and I was referred by someone else! I got the feeling that it had to do with the fact that I was a female, and there was no male in the house for him to deal with. 35 days as of today April 14, 2023. Called Whirlpool again! These people are worthless. Johnny's told me he was ordering a new Washer but Whirlpool says they ordered a new side panel. They lied! Refuses to return my money!!!! They called me the other day and I called back. Tom said the call was by mistake and that was it. No update, no nothing just hung up. Do yourself a big favor and BEWARE!

Bought a new Whirlpool Washer and Dryer and 2 pedestals. In the first 3 weeks the Washer broke then the dryer broke. After a week they offered a loaner which was an older machine with an agitator. Had to go through Whirlpool to get the dryer fixed and still takes an hour and a half or more to dry a load of clothes. The last time the washer was operable was 3/11/2023. They picked it up on 3/23/2023. They brought it back on April 3 with the whole right side damaged. When they picked it up they took it with the pedestal attached. The weight in the truck could not bear the weight of the washer so the rail broke and the side of that was scratched up. I asked for my money back at the 3 week mark and Johnny screamed I'm not picking it up. It is now April 10th and still no washing machine. I asked again last week for my money back and was told I had it too long now. I told them that was the problem, I haven't had it. As of today the 10th it has been 31 days without the washing machine. It was originally delivered on 2/21/2023. I had it 19 days before it broke. I clearly have been without it longer than I have had it. I would hate for anyone else to have to go through this inexcusable and stressful back and forth like I have. I would never buy anything again from this company. Dr Johnny’s Appliances… took my uncle Larry for a ride! beware friends… should have noticed nothing posted since 2018. Got a brand new KitchenAid $$$$$ dishwasher Dec 22. 2nd run started to leak, DrJ’s guy comes out orders new inside vent. 2nd run leak, Dr J’s guy comes out orders new seals for door.March .. replace all seals .. 1st run leaks calls Company Rep .. need to send out Gary with clear door to troubleshoot. Gary comes out with clear door says the sprayer is messed up and need to order one. All this is fm first of the year to 1st June. Call Gary about part order has be weeks, on back order. Gary calls says manufacture rep will be here today between 8- 12 . Rep shows up runs washer confirms water leakage, pulls unit out of cabinet a discovers the right top side of housing is crushed so bad that’s why it is leaking . This should have been noticed during install. Not so sure the repair guys at Dr J’s are certified and the lady that answers the phone should not be in that position either. So everyone beware of this company, they are quick to get your dollars , not to quick to ensure what they are installing is in perfect condition and operational .
