I’d been looking forward to going here for a while, and I basically live across the street, so I figured why not. I got a birthday coupon for $10 off, but since they were closed on July 4th, I went in today. I tried to place the order online, but I got a message back stating takeout ordering wasn’t available. I tried to call twice, as each time I chose an extension, I got another message that the voicemail was full. I decided to go there and give it a shot in person. It’s a really nice structure that hat has an almost high end feel to it; kind of modern. Most of the patrons were outside and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I went inside and the young lady there said I could call the bar to place an order, but I told her about getting voicemail. She was turned to get someone from the bar, but there was no one there which we both kind of laughed at. I had my heart set on an item I saw on the app, which was Shrimp and Grits, so when I was greeted by the bartender and told him what I wanted, he said it was no longer on the menu. He showed me an extremely simplified menu, so I settled on a burger with a Cesar side salad. I can’t remember which one right now but it has fried jalapeños on it. I’ll come back later to update how that was. All in all, it seems like a cool place, but they need to update their online process and menu, and possibly hire some more staff, cause I went around 4, and it wasn’t even very busy. I have had several jobs as a waitress, so I have a good idea of when it’s busy. I’d say give it a shot if you’re going in person. EDIT So I just ate my salad and burger. The salad had real Parmesan cheese in it and the dressing was so good! The burger was the Smokehouse burger. Oh my word!! Huge patty that had white cheddar, sautéed onions and thick sliced bacon. The bun was a brioche, I believe but whatever it was it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. EVER. Worth every penny. This changes my rating to 5 stars. Sorry, no pics but ate it before I remembered to snap one. Oh and this as out of my fridge not warmed up cause I was really hungry. Can’t even imagine what it would taste like right out of...
Read moreA bit torn. I hear amazing things about this brewery. But my experience was less than amazing. Awesome beer, food was good quality even though some things were misleading such as how the ceviche was described on the menu (did not say it was drenched in red sauce when usually only served with citrus juices on the selected seafood), and when I asked the outside bartender about the veggie burger, she said it was like a black bean burger and the imposssible burger but better. Once she said it was made with INGREDIENTS IN HOUSE I was sold. However, my husband clarified with me that is was a frozen awesome patty (he's a chef himself). So thanks, the reason why I ask these questions are because I have a heart problem and you just misled me there.
Next, myf riend was trying to buy a beer before they close. She told me the inside bartender told her they weren't serving anymore but proceeded to take and serve another customer. So I went back to try and order a beer. I saw the bartender was plugging the draft beers so I asked if beer cans were available instead. She said yes so I ordered one and closed out my tab. I DID NOT SEE AN ITEMIZED RECEIPT UPON PAYMENT. I trusted her, tipped 20% and signed. Then she puts a 6 pack of beer on the counter. I only ordered a single beer, she responds "Oh we don't just do single beers like that only packs." Okay, you knew I was only looking for one beer and yuo just swindled me into a 6 pack. So I asked if I can edit my receipt to adjust my tip. At first she tried saying she couldn't do that (any server/bartender knows that's WRONG), then proceeded to get her manager when she saw I wasn't budging. I reduced my tip to 10% because the server was sweet and helpful, however they lost more than half of what I could have given them due to misleading and discriminatory service. On top of that, gave a horrible impression to a professional in the industry with many connections. I am not here to "take you down" at all, but I'm here to tell you your service is awful and manipulative and you need to hire better people. Sincerely, someone who wants to have a good experience at your...
Read moreExtremely disappointed with the dishonest service we received tonight at the Haunted Craft Market on 10/30/21. Noticed straight away that my friend's beer was bigger than mine. When I asked the bartender, I was told that the "supply chain" issues caused a shortage and that only had a few 16oz plastic cups. Shortly thereafter, I was told that they were only pouring 12oz pours. When I asked if I would get a 16oz pour in a glass if I was eating in the restaurant, the answer was yes. So asked for a "glass" 16oz pour to which they kindly poured. Thank you. Later, I was told they could only pour 12oz once again. When I asked for a pint glass, I was told they could only pour 12oz. When I asked if I was paying a discounted price or the 160z price, they referenced the supply chain issue and dodged the question. I asked again if I was in the restaurant and ordered the same beer, would it be served in pint glass or a 12oz glass. The bartender referenced that they only had 12oz plastic cups. Clearly the folks in the restaurant had pint glasses. What I see is a company dishonestly serving 12oz pours and saving 25% for every beer they are selling with never once telling people they are paying for 16oz pours and getting 12oz servings. With the way the place was packed tonight, I am sure you "saved" some money. Yes, I realize that high ABV beers get served in smaller glasses, but these were 5-6% beers. Shameful and dishonest. I get that times are tough and supplies/labor are tough to come by in this post-covid environment. Be honest and I am willing to pay extra to support your business. Play games or be dishonest and I will take my business elsewhere. Either you didn't have a well understood policy tonight that employees understood or you were outright trying to...
