Taylor's Do it Center — Local services in Virginia Beach

Definitely overpriced but agree with decent service. Over the years some employees have been super helpful. Have yet to realize why they're so much more expensive than big stores when they seem to be monopolizing the business efficiency...like to know when/if it'll reach the consumer???

Some 'knuckleheads', as my father likes to say, working for them. They'll follow you around the store and when you ask for their help they're clueless. For example, asked how much a small wooden garden trellis was on a recent visit and associate stated 6.99 which I found reasonable. After checkout ths receipt stated 10.99. The stalking associate was too lazy to verify the actual price which was bothersome because I'm literally there once a week.

All around average service overpriced items. Next door at the garden center you'll find grwat service with overpriced items. Only go to Taylor's Do It if I'm short on time or don't want to drive to a...

I HATE hardware stores with a passion. but heres why i actually LOVE Taylor's Do it Center:

1. You get the convenience of a big box store, but in the small neighborhood store form. They're hours are great, and there is enough of them in the area where i dont feel like i have to go out of my way.

2. they have everything you need. I love the size of the stores, because they're not these big mazes that require a hike to just find someone to help. Theyre size is not a set back though, because they still have everything you need. If you have mobility issues you'd appreciate this!

3. the staff is very kind and very helpful. They're quick to help you find what you need, and give good recommendations

4. its a small LOCAL business! And you can really feel that energy here. I mean they're a STIHL dealer for crying out loud. I dont even use that kind of equipment and i know that if they sell STIHL then they...

We got our Christmas tree at Taylor’s this year and we’ve been regretting it every day. For years we’ve been getting Christmas trees at a local church but decided to try Taylor’s since they get them sooner. Prices are good I’ll give them that but they neither shake the tree nor net it before loading it on top of your car??? A church owned a netting machine, A CHURCH. And whatever they used to shake it so the dead needles and insects or even rodents don’t go home with you. It scratched up the top of our car for one thing and to add insult to injury it’s infested with spiders. I know they’re harmless and all it takes is to vacuum they up but you know what, vacuuming up a hundred (not kidding) spiders every day leading up to Christmas is not my idea of holiday fun. How did they decide on such incompetence I will never know. Needless to say I’ll make it a point to never shop...
