I appreciate the atmosphere, the service. The food though, well.. we ordered two orders of the steak tacos for the kids. The steak wasn't really seasoned or tasty. The tacos, the soft shells tasted like they were reheated in a microwave, just didn't taste fresh. Both kids didn't want them. The quesidillas were good, kids ate that. Another note on the quesidillas is that they weren't large, the rice provided I guess was to offset the size of the quesidilla. The rice wasn't seasoned, it was a flat kinda tasting rice. Same held true with the fajita platter. The platter with the assortment of meats and shrimp lacked flavor with the exception of the pork. The nachos which were served immediately upon being seated were ok and warm, but the sauces just weren't on par with some of the other Mexican places we've eaten. Felt canned. We had to ask for the additional sauces for the main courses and those too weren't fresh, they were bottled. I guess what it is, if your spending over $100 for some drinks and a meal for a family, you would expect everything to be made in house. We had mexican a week ago in PA and the sauces we recieved just with the nachos alone were made in house, fresh, and we requested more for the meal. For the expense involved and considering there's no a la carte portion in the menu, it's kinda messed up. Our company that was with us ordered burritos, enchiladas. They were alright too, but lacked that premium feel of the expense involved. Needless to say, we won't be back. We'll adventure to one of the several other Mexican restaurants in the area. ** response: Ordered one drink. Rest was water. Wasn't upset about price of the drink at all. On the contrary, the drink was great. I was upset about the food as stated above. $15 for 3 steak tacos that simply didn't taste good x2 is $30 gone. The soft tacos as stated above tasted not fresh at all. The steak not seasoned. The rice not seasoned. The sauces you say were made in house but we recieved bottles. The lack of a la carte means that you have to commit to the full meals which could be hit or miss. Fajita platter lacked flavor with the execption of the pork as stated above and needed sauces to make it more tasty. Fajita platter was another $31.00. Burrito $15, enchiladas $16. Cost involved thus far: $92. The one drink was around $20ish. Plus tip,...
Read moreThe food was delicious. However, the service could have been much better. I ordered a veggie fajita to go and when I got home I noticed there was beef in the meal. I called to speak to the manager to request a refund because I lived 15 miles away. While I was speaking to the manager he asked for my card information. I asked him if he was writing down my information and he said, “yes.” I asked him if he could make sure he destroyed my information when he finished. It concerned me that he wrote my information down instead of issuing my refund over the phone. He was very rude and proceeded to tell me that he knows how to do business, he has been in business for over 20 years. I was not questioning his years of business, I just wanted to make sure my information would not be compromised. He could have just said he would make sure he destroyed my information. I am sure everything will be taken care of, he just could have handled that conversation a little better. I will be checking my account as I always do, but I shouldn’t be concerned that my information is compromised nor should I be worried if my refund will be taken care of.
Also, as an FYI for the business. If you are going to serve vegetarian meals, make sure there is no meat in the person’s food. My husband can not eat meat at all. It will make him sick.
Edit: In response to the owner, I will do you one better. I will cancel the entire charge on my card and you can talk to my credit card company. My husband and I will be there with the entire un eaten meal. I tipped our waiter handsomely and this is how you respond??? Why wouldn’t you refund my order prior to destroying my card information? I told you I live 30 mins away and this is how you treat paying customers? You compromised my information and won’t issue a refund? I hope people see this and understand why they shouldn’t patronize...
Read moreI have never been to this specific location but the service was horrible. We visited during hurricane Dorian because they just happened to be open. The place was fully staffed and there was only 2-3 couples eating there. Our waiter took forever, but that was after he continuously rushed us with the menus. I specified extra cheese/sour cream. He eventually brought the food but there was no extras. He disappeared without even asking if everything was ok. Took him about 10 minutes to finally come back, just for me to realize he was watching soccer. When I finally got my extras and started to eat (chicken taco salad), the chicken was completely dry. I wouldn’t recommend this location as my friends dish wasn’t very tasty either.
UPDATE: According to the owners reply, the waiter stopped by our table “more than 13 times” and “that’s more than average in the restaurant business.” Please do email me the video—That way I can show everyone that all the times he was popping up at our table were when we first arrived and being rushed to order. Your response doesn’t even make sense. You commented about the extras costing more, yet that had nothing to do with my review. I didn’t even mention that I was charged for extra sour cream even though there was ZERO sour cream on the salad to begin with. Really the sour cream was just placed on the side. So there was no extra. That’s why I made him change it on the receipt. I wasn’t going to be charged for something I didn’t actually get.
Your response to my review seemed very targeting, yet my review is honest. Maybe you should keep up with your wait staff so that you don’t have to defend your restaurant. But it seems like you have a habit for trying to call people out that leave...
