I am extremely satisfied at the service I received from Appliance Werks. I am not one to usually write reviews however, I felt like I needed to share my experience for those that may be on the fence with an appliance repair company as well as provide accolades to this professional service. Appliance Werks was my 3rd call when I was looking for someone to service my LG top load washer (side bar, dont buy LG). The first two appliance repair services did not even come to my house, instead they told me to replace the washer. The washer was under 24 months old and I just couldn't let it go without first trying to fix it if it could be done. Appliance Werks offered to come out and was able to get out within a few short days. The tech Nimah was spectacular! He spent as much time as he needed on the appliance to diagnose it which probably took almost 2 hours. When other technicians had told me based on symptoms that it was the clutch and the machine was DOA, Nimah meticulously went through the machine as well as pushed the LG support line to the max to diagnose the machine with a bad Power Control Board. Nimah as well as the office staff at Appliance Werks went above and beyond going to bat trying to get the part (which was out of warranty) covered by LG. We were unsuccessful at getting the part covered but honestly, the work they put in trying for me was second to none. They ordered the part for me and the technician came out on a Saturday in order to finalize the repairs. The technician on Saturday was also extremely professional, helpful, and skilled (although I did not catch his name). My washer is returned to normal operation at a reasonable cost with the help of this company and I am confident that if I had another issue in a short period of time, they would jump at the chance to help. Appliance Werks will be my first call next time I have an issue. Thank you to the entire team for your help and your...
Read moreArranged for an Appliance Werks tech to come out to diagnose/repair our dryer (LG gas WashTower that stopped producing heat). This was our fourth attempt/company to get someone out to do this. Dryer is under extended warranty from Home Depot/Square Trade. Their first tech (a Russian gent) was from Fixity - arrived two hours AFTER the stated window, spoke very little English (we communicated through a phone translator app) said he couldn't fix it and would have to come back another time with another tech because he couldn't do the job by himself. Nope. Arranged for a different shop - Master's Touch to come out - never showed or called. Didn't return my messages. After I complained to Square Trade he called and made excuses-said he'd try again. Didn't show the 2nd time and didn't communicate until AFTER I contacted him. Nope. Square Trade said that if I hired/paid someone else they would reimburse me. Fine. Called All Appliance Repair and spoke to someone who said the job would be $300-$400 with the parts supplied by Square Trade. Later I tried to get an appointment with them by text (no response) and submitted two requests via their site - the first sentence in their auto-reply email said "Thank you for contacting Carolina Hemp Hut"... seriously! Never got back to me! This @#$%* went on for a WEEK! FINALLY I contacted Appliance Werks. Explained the issue, arranged for a tech to come out the following day. The time window for the appointment was 1-3pm. Nimah showed up at 12:50 and got right to it. Because I already had a replacement part(s) supplied by Square Trade the repair was done within 45 minutes and cost a fraction of what All Appliance quoted me. Nimah, was polite, friendly, knew what he was doing and was great with my crazy dogs. If you buy a new appliance, make sure you get the extended warranty ONLY IF you can hire...
Read moreDon't use this place. They don't stand behind their work. Paul is rude. I hired them to fix a fridge. They quoted me approx $260 for a thermostat which is outrageous but whatever. I agreed to it. A week later, the tech comes back to install it and my freezer is still running hot. Paul says he'll refund me the cost of the repair less the trip charge but never does that. I disputed the charge with my credit card and he lied to them in the process of appeal. Do not use this company. And let me be clear - almost all of my reviews on google are positive. I'm not a hater. I'm not a scumbag. This guy is just a ripoff artist. I'm sure there are plenty of other reputable companies out there and I would try a stranger before I ever work these dishonest people ever again.
Edit - I guess Paul doesn't mind lying about my experience any more than he did lying to the credit card company. You never sent the check and I said I wanted my old thermostat back because I wasn't confident that it actually needed the repair your tech said it did. I had already completely lost trust in your company by that point. You knew the new thermostat wouldn't fix the problem (which you said yourself after the "repair" was completed was due to the cold garage.) You wanted to come uninstall a thermostat and not give me back my original. You also didn't leave the original in the first place. I am not even sure a new thermostat was actually installed.
2nd Edit - the saga continues. Either Paul or Craig posted an anonymous negative review about my business 5 minutes after they wrote their response here. I immediately called them out and they deleted their review. But this is the kind of people they are - they will lie about another small business because they didn't like what...
