My family and I went to the truck pulls every year as my dad enjoyed pulling in the local modified pickup pull. We get down there this year and not only did they make me pay $20 for my 2yr old for a pit pass which they negelected to tell me when I called about prices, they also neglected to put anywhere on their website that it was no longer a local pull but an association pull. So we drove all the way down there only to unload and find out they didn't have a class for my dad to enter. I would highly recommend that none of you go so that the lines are shorter for me and my kids. they have volunteers that help on the rides and on the games and my kids leave with so many prizes it's crazy. The Saunders County Fair is the only fair that I make a special point to attend because it's not only well run, but great people from all over the community attend.    Read moreYour normal small town/county fairgrounds. It was clean. Buildings are all 50+ years old. Likely wouldn't survive a zombie hoard, but hold up nicely for the non zombie types. They crank up the AC in the inside buildings which again is something zombies or other dead things prefer. I suppose it's family friendly, as long as there are zombie cleaners on patrol. Kids are likely faster than adults tho so the zombies might want more bang for their buck and just go after the adults. All in all, solid fairgrounds....
