I LOVE THIS PLACE! This is a small market with BiG ideas. Recently reopened after a two week renovation to the work room for meats and bakery departments. Bakery department provides some of the best Italian pastries and bread around. It Rivals anything you can find in the North End. The meats are superior, fresh and cut to order. Their produce Department has premium Fruit and vegetables of every kind always fresh. And for those of us who don't feel like cooking or need a day off, they have prepared foods everything from chicken soup to grape nut custard. Their main entries are generous and delicious. You can get homestyle lasagna,eggplant and chicken parmigiano as well as pasta dishes to completely satisfy your palette. Oops, I almost to mention. They carry SHANES of Maine. Ice. Cream. It's worth the price no matter what.....

I work near Farmland and recently moved to Wakefield. I have always found plenty of options for lunch at Farmland and I am usually always satisfied with what I get. Now that I need to actually buy things to cook at home I find having Farmland so close a awesome convenience to get really everything I need. I see that a lot of people have knocked Farmlands Staff Mood, I would have to agree the staff for the Deli are usually grumpy but to be honest I am there enough to see that these guys are non stop working..... So to be honest if they're going to be grumpy and I still get good food I really don't care about their mood. I’ve stopped here for their great selection of Stonewall Kitchen products and they always have my favorite Deep River Rosemary/olive oil chips! Today I saw the best looking piece of swordfish (no icky brown spots). I got it. Moving on to the bakery, I picked a piece of cheesecake and a lemon square. The woman took a square closest to her. While boxing it, I noticed it didn’t look as fresh and vibrant as the squares in the very front of the display case. That bugged me a bit as I’m sure it was yesterdays product hidden where the customers can’t see it. Sell it even if it’s old? Kinda gross!
