My wife is a type 1 diabetic and needs bloodwork done for our doctor. We showed up at the Wallingford Quest before 11:30am today (Saturday). Promptly checked in on kiosk and we had a seat. We sat there for 30 minutes. At one point early on a woman with red hair came out and took a person that was not checked in. Granted it was an elderly woman who didnât speak much English. Then just before 12pm a Quest employee with a Slavic accent puts stuff in lock box outside. And says they are closed. I let her know that we have been sitting here for a half hour. She didnât care. No eye contact. Just walks to the back and says we are closed. I stated that this is bullshit. She literally just laughed.
At that point my wife and I really wanted to speak with someone. We were met by another Quest employee who I thought for sure would be a voice of reason in this situation. Instead, she instantly started raising her voice at us saying âitâs 12:03 we closed at 12â. Also that âour problem isnât her problem and she has kids to pickup.â Meanwhile sheâs giving my wife attitude and saying to my wife âwhy are you raising your voice.â Iâve seen my wife raise her voice. She was not. I was actually impressed with how calm she stayed in a situation where Iâve honestly never seen or witnessed such unprofessionalism as occurred today.
The original red headed woman ended up being the only reasonable on there and drew the blood. I thanked her profusely for that.
If I owned a business and knew employees treated customers the way those other two women acted. They would never interact with one of my customers again, because they would be...

My husband had apt for 10 minutes before me We sat there until almost 4:50pm 2 techs came out and turned a walk in away! They were rude and annoyed they had to take us! They called my husband almost 20 minutes past his apt and 10 past mine! A Julia insisted I didn't have an apt ! We both told her I did! She offered to take me! She rapidly punched the computer keys entering my data! I told her I had purchased a test online !she asked if I wanted it done also ! I certainly didnt want to go back! I told her Dr on lab requisition was not correct! She rudely said she couldn't change it! I was not asked to verify name on tubes OR sign the pad! The other tech told my husband he had a $15 copay which he doesn't and wanted his debit card! Horrible experience! Considering changing location or to labcorp! Sent in survey and customer comments to quest with no reply! Go...
Read moreVery disappointed in this overly-automized location. I had made an appointment for 7:30 am for my daughter to have blood work done, a first for her (and she was very nervous). I received a text confirming the appointment, but when I went to check in at the Wallingford site, she was not showing up in their system. Even after showing the confirmation text to the employees at this site, they refused to fit her in, saying if she wasn't in the system, there wasn't anything they could do. It was clearly a case of a computerized system needing a bit more of a human touch, but they were refusing to do anything beyond their orders. We drove to the Cheshire location and were able to be seen in 10 minutes (by an absolutely lovely phlebotomist who understood how scared my daughter was). Although I have had other decent experiences at this location when things went smoothly, I will make the drive to Cheshire for future...
