This was my first time at Funju. I'd been wanting to try both soup dumplings and real ramen.

We went in at the end of lunch and there were quite a few people in the bar area. We were the only ones for a while in the restaurant area. The restaurant was small, but roomy and airy.

This was my last day in town, we decided to get several things from the menu. I started off with a milk Boba tea with Irish cream. Other items in our meal were Sichuan dumplings, Tokontsu ramen, Chicken katsu buns, Pork buns, Steamed Pork soup dumplings, and Chicken soup dumplings.

I liked that although we got several appetizers, our items came out at different times so that we could enjoy them each individually without getting bogged down with a table full of food. The boba tea with Irish Cream was amazing! The Sichuan dumplings were very good drizzled with chili oil. The buns were fluffy and soft and meat inside was just awesome too. Our soup dumplings came out piping hot in the basket they were steamed in, but were perfect once they cooled down a bit. The dark sauce that came with them was the perfect compliment. The ramen was just as good as I had hoped it would be - and there was enough in the bowl for two meals and I brought it home.

I am glad I finally got to try this place and I would definitely be back! The staff were friendly and attentive and we had a...

So, I wrote a review already on this, but guess I didn't hit post? We'll see if another one pops up on here how close I remembered what I wrote the first time. While I'm not a big fan of ramen, I think I am a big fan of this place. I got the dish with the braised pork belly. It's a must have! The pork belly in this was melt in your mouth good! But really the dish itself was great! The sprouts, scallions, egg, even the noodles. I say even the noodles as I'm not a big pasta fan. I don't know what made these special, but I killed them! Now to me I think the bowls that they serve here are BIG! I know my eyes can be bigger than my stomach and I thought this was going to be the case here. That said, I think it was just right. I was fully full be the end and glad it wasn't any more. While I'm sure I could have stuffed more in, I'm glad I didn't have to. Service here was just right. It wasn't to busy when visiting, maybe still it was a little early? But they seem to keep an eye out and came over just enough. I would definitely like to try other items on the menu here. Everything sounds great. While it's not a huge menu, I think it offers just the right amount of variety. Go...

Food tastes good but service is disappointing. For some reason the staff here always seems very busy, running back and forth, but too busy to even acknowledge me when i walk in and stand there waiting. They specifically avoied looking at me for several minutes, while i stare at them. I order takeout from other places in town all the time but this place goes out of their way to ignore me. But that's not the only reason for this posting. We ordered 3 drivers and 1 appetizer by phone for pickup. But two of the dinners, Masamen noodle and Pineapple Fried Rice were inexplicably marked plain so they were literally bare! A bowl of noodles with sauce splashed on top and rice with only pineapple. What is that? Both dishes are supposed to have meat, veggies, other stuff! I didn't notice until we got home and it was too late to go back. Very unsatisfied with every experience here.i keep trying to give them another try but regret every...

Came here early on a Tuesday night, between five and six. Got the shoyu ramen and a draft beer. The restaurant itself is clean and well kept. It's small, but there is bar seating and table seating and it's spacious enough. Since it wasn't too busy when I went the service was quick and the food came out nice and hot. My server was very nice and didn't rush me in to making a decision. The food itself was very good. Noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth was surprisingly light but nicely seasoned. Chicken was delicious, and the egg was cooked just right. It really was a great meal, and felt comforting on a cooler fall evening. Their menu is small but I think that's a good thing. They have only a handful of soups but there is a good variety of ingredients you can add on top of those included. I would love to come back and give their tonkotsu and spicy miso ramen a try! This place is definitely worth trying.
