Blocker Boys’ Customs is more than a body shop, it’s where Walterboro’s rides get their personality. Where a set of wheels becomes a statement.
The cars and trucks that come out of here turn heads. It isn’t just about the flash though, it’s about the craft. Custom rims and tires, stereo systems, paint jobs, everything you need to bring a vision to life. They’ve got the kind of skill that can take a beat up work truck and make it look like it just rolled off a show room floor.
What I love the most is the way they treat people, whether you’re a local who’s been coming for years or someone passing through with a flat, they’ll get you back on the road with the same care.
In a world where so much feels disposable, Blocked Boys’ Customs is proof that quality work still matters. That attention to detail, that extra polish, that willingness to listen to what a customer really wants, it’s all part of the reason people keep coming back.
So here’s to the sound of tools, the smell of fresh paint, the shine of chrome in the afternoon sun. Here’s to the crew that turns ideas into rolling...
Read moreI ask for recommendations in a Facebook group for a tire shop in Walterboro to have a set of new tires mounted and balanced. Blocker Boys were recommended by the majority of folks. I was at the shop at 8:00 when they opened and they had my new tires on and I was out the door by 9:00. The price was right and and the service was very fast...maybe to fast. On my way home I was getting a lot of vehicle vibration when I would reach highway speeds, 69-75 mph. A few days later I took my truck back and told them about the shake and they took the tires off to check the balance of the tires. I was told the tires were good to go, so off I went. When I left and got up to highway speed again, the truck was still shaking. Since I was heading to Columbia, I decided to take my truck to a tire shop there to have them check the tires. Two of the four tires didn't have any balance weights on them. So, while Blocker Boys was priced fairly and their service was fast, I was disappointed they didn't do the complete job I paid them to do and had to pay another tire shop to actually...

Noticed tire was suddenly low and had a piece of metal in the treads when we were in Walterboro. First shop (newer style, possibly chain) had 10 cars ahead of us and 2 people working. Was gonna be awhile, so suggested we try about a mile down the road.
Second shop (small, local) had a labor shortage and was taking appts only, so suggested we try another mile down the road.
This third shop was operating out of the old gas station near downtown. Seemed like 7 or 8 guys working, actually not just working, but hustling. All were very, very nice. About 6 or 7 cars ahead of us, including what they were working on.
Turns out it was a razor blade we picked up somewhere. Barely pierced the inside of the tire. Patched it up and had us out of there just over an hour after we arrived for $15.
They even let our daughter watch the whole process (from a safe distance) while I described to her what they were doing. Homeschooling ✔
Not that we want another flat tire, but if we get another, I hope it's around a shop like...
