Absolutely one of the most shocking and appalling places I have been to. Our server was "okay" when she opened her doors to us on Friday around 3 p.m. It was hard to get our server's attention as she was too busy talking to her co-workers. After 30 minutes of waiting for food, we enjoyed our nachos and thought they were very tasty. We also ordered some chicken wings that were dry without any sauce that we had ordered. Both items were overpriced, in my opinion. Two very nice gentleman came in the establishment. They may have had a little bit to drink as they were giggly but very friendly. Out of the blue, our server complained that they were being too loud and obnoxious. The server went back and got the cook (who came out with a meat cleaver ) and threatened the gentelman . They were told to leave and not come back. My Mother could not believe what was happening and told the cook that the Gentleman did nothing wrong. The meat cleaver cook told my mother if she did not like it she could leave too! I agreed with my Mother that the situation was uncalled for and we asked the server why this action was taken towards these people? She said that there are people coming in here like this and they just bring their friends in that are also are loud obnoxious people. We saw nothing wrong with their behavior. They were rudely thrown out and said they were going to the Barrel House. We went to the barrel house. There the gentlemen sit and appeared to be greeted with open arms and really nice servers. We will never step foot in an establishment that takes prejudice against people that have are friendly and try to have a good time. As you see from other reviews, the server is too busy for her customers and takes pride and enjoys throwing customers out who do nothing wrong. Just be glad you didn't experience what we did. We still cannot believe what we saw and heard from the employees at this...
Read moreIt's okay by Walterboro standards. It has very Al Di La vibes as far as decor with the yellow, orange and black colors and low lighting. Took my family out. The kids menu is nice - burgers, chicken bites, shrimp. The regular menu seemed good enough, with appetizers, salads and a fair selection of entrees. I had a burger. My wife had fried shrimp. She gave it an 8 overall, I gave it a 6... For an average of 7 by all voting family members. It seemed a little dirty. The staff could've used some diversity. There's a lot of room that could've been used better... In Charleston, they would've had 50 tables in that space. Booths would be a plus, as it has nothing but freestanding tables and chairs. The waitresses were a little lazy and inattentive. The prices were reasonable - a tad bit pricey for Walterboro, but I've seen and paid way worse. Good location though. If word gets out and this place sees some real clientele, it could have potential to become a great place. They also have a bar in the back, but I didn't actually see it except by peripheral snippets, as I had kids with me. I could give it a second chance eventually, but wouldn't make it a...
Read moreThis restaurant is in a downtown area and parking can be difficult to find on certain days and at certain times. My beef tips were very tender, the red wine reduction was a bit too sweet for my personal taste, but not bad by any means. I just don't like sweet meats. My dining companion ordered the buffalo shrimp Alfredo. You have to ask for the shrimp to be tossed in buffalo sauce. They enjoyed the meal, said the food was good, but we both agree that it was a bit pricey for the area and we have had similar meals at a lower cost in nicer places. The atmosphere is dark. Our table was sticky and had no table cloth. Once our server brought our drinks we never saw her again. We were instead served by two of the kitchen staff because our server "got too busy" for our table. This was on a Thursday around 3pm mind you, and there were only three other tables filled in the restaurant. However, the food was good and it was convenient for us...
