Dollar General — Local services in Wardensville

So about a year ago I had left a 5 star review. I loved this store. I have spent $1,000s upon $1,000s over the years. In fact the girls and I would joke in I left the store with under $100 worth of items. Anyways tonight that all changed. While shopping I was asked by an employee to hand over my bag (which in fact was bought at that exact store months prior) because she caught me completely off guard I handed over my bag but then the more I thought about it the more irritated I became. I told my husband let's just go. I didn't finish shopping and we checked out and left. I did not take anything and never have. There were lots of other people in the store and noone else's bag was taken so why was mine. I wish now I had told her no that she could not take my bag BUT let's go through it right now together since you obviously think I stole something. This was embarrassing and uncalled for. I have $490.00 in my bag in cash and multiple credit cards. I don't need to steal from the dollar store. I am not easily offended. But this really bothers me. My bag was left unattended behind the register but right at the swinging little gate so anyone and everyone could see it. This isn't the last they will hear from me. I will be contacting...

Worst customer service! Called and asked a “manager on duty” to check and see if they had something in stock. She told me she was too busy. I asked if there was a manager or any other employee that could look since it’s out of our way to go to this store and didn’t want to go there if they didn’t have it. She told me that she was the manager on duty and that no one could help me. Didn’t ask if she could call me back. Didn’t ask me to call back just hung up on me!! Dollar general as a whole has got to sh*t but especially the ones in Wardensville and Baker, WV!! If I could give you negative...

So, I see our local Dollar General has extended hours today, Thanksgiving Day. I'm sure this is a decision from those at corporate that will get to enjoy the holiday with their families, while they make employees work.If anything, store hours should be reduced for today. I guess the bottom dollar means more to them, then letting their employees be able to enjoy this day. The only reason I gave 5 stars is because of the employees. DG itself, I give no stars because of this greedy practice. The girl working register was actually crying.
