Hi, stay away, they will steal your money, we purchased a swimming pool membership for 1 month at the end of July 2024, we went over there couple days after, the pool was closed, we were told that the swimming pool was closed for couple weeks but it was closed for several months due to a flood in the basement that ruined the swimming pool pumps and filters, etc., we kept calling every week or 2 to find out if they were reopened but they kept telling us NO the pool is still closed and remained closed for several months. The swimming pool did reopen some time in the month of November 2024, No one notify members by email or phone call despite of they do have all members email addresses and phone numbers, they said when they reopened again they extended people memberships (donât know if they really did that), so they extended people memberships without letting people know, I called today to ask if they are reopened again they said yes we are open again, I asked them for reimbursement for the membership that I paid for, which I was never was able to use, they said we did reopen November 1st and now its to late and they will not extend or do anything and they didnât care at all, basically they told me we ripped you off and made you pay for a fake membership. Will never go back again and no one of my family will ever go back again to this place, the customer service at this place is junk, and just completely horrible and you will be mistreated. I spoke with this place manager Leslie or Lesley, she was awful and disrespectful and was very rude. Its not about the $50, Its about treatment, respect and member/customer appreciation.
Update: I called the city of Warren, complained and spoke to Mrs. Judy/Mayor office, she was very friendly and respectful and so professional, she directed me to Mr. Anthony who is in charge of the Warren Community Center, he was very nice, respectful and professional, he solved the issue the next following day by giving us a one month...
Read moreIn the daytime, it's boomer city or the geriatric society in full force. At night, it's very multicultural.
All members must park at the front now. The side entrance is for activities and their theatre. But I definitely miss being able to go to the pool from the side entrance, and parking was closer.
There's been a high turnover of staff, so it's always new kids working these days. I think almost all of the lifeguards have turned over, except one or two I might see.
I'm kind of disappointed that during their two-month closure due to the basement flooding, they didn't occupy that time with well-deserved maintenance and cleaning. I figure they did their standard yearly cleaning of the pool. But the grout still looks dirty in places.
My biggest gripe right now is the lighting in the pool areas. I've complained twice in the last year or so about the hanging lights which illuminate the pool at night. Recently, again a month ago, and they said it's being fixed. Still not fixed - an entire corner of the pool near the deeper end of the 3-lane section was completely dark a few weeks ago. Literally one light was working. I counted 30+ lights that were not lit. Tell me I have nothing better to do, all you want, but yeah when I'm resting from swimming, I notice stuff. And the pool area should be a LOT brighter. It's also totally a safety hazard...
Read moreThis a nice park but imo not stroller friendly The park is clean, the kids play area is fairly well maintained, and it seems that people who walk their dogs actually pick up after them. Where itâs bad is for stroller access. Thereâs only one spot in which you can access the side along the Red Run from the parking lot with a stroller(unless you bumpity bump your kid on the grass, and hop them on the curb), and itâs at the far East end of the parking lot. Furthermore thereâs absolutely zero stroller access in between the two main play areas. Was it so extremely difficult to add additional crossings and paved paths so that you can take your toddler or older child to the play areas and still push a stroller? Moving forward, if youâre walking around the community center along the path, and want to cut in to get to you car, thereâs no convenient way to do so. You either have to cross the vehicle entrance/exits and push you stroller/drag your toddler on the driveway to access the interrupted???? crosswalk on the west entrance, or go aaaaall the way around the community center and enter from there, and even there the sidewalk gets really weird. I donât understand what the engineers where thinking when they designed the paths...
