This store is exceptional in every way!! My daughter and I have dreamed about her wedding day and trying on wedding gowns for years and together we would watch "Say Yes To The Dress" dreaming of her one day Kleinfeld experience. We planned to go to New York to look for dresses, but I also encouraged my daughter to look up some more dress shops in CT. And RI. She came across "The Bridal Shoppe" in Warwick, RI. She called and made an appointment. She was so excited, saying how nice they were on the phone... So, the big day came and it was time to start our search for the perfect dress. I have to admit, when we first pulled into the parking lot of this little shop, I was a little skeptical. Having that Kleinfeld experience in mind, this store was not grand, nor fancy. But my daughter kept telling me to keep an open mind. The dress selection was not huge, but the dresses they do have are gorgeous. I settled down and decided to enjoy this once in a lifetime moment with my daughter. She came out of the fitting room for the 3rd time and the dress she was in was absolutely stunning. It was her dress. Then, I decided to look at the price tag (didn't think to do that before) I couldn't believe it, it was so reasonably priced...no where near the absurd prices you see on TV. And it was a designer, couture gown. The lady helping my daughter was amazing. She gave us her undivided attention, and was so helpful and nice. Fast forward several months the gown finally came in. It was more beautiful than we remembered. The seamstress at the store was exceptional as well. She created a custom bustle for the gown that is absolutely beautiful!! This store went above and beyond our expectations of a bridal shop in every way. Absolutely delightful. If we had to do it all over again we would have ordered the bridesmaids dresses from this shop as well. My daughter has a delightful experience for her once in a lifetime moment. I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. I am awkward, and had no idea how I was ever going to pull off being a "beautiful bride." Well, let me tell you. Half of the battle is the right dress, and I never would have gotten mine if it weren't for Donna. From the moment I walked into her shop, she put me at ease and turned a very stressful experience into one of smiles, laughter, and comfort. There was so much hugging I forgot that I had only met her an hour ago. She ultimately chose the dress I fell in love with, after several failed attempts on my part. I trust Donna 100%, she is a true professional and she knows what you need sometimes before even you do. My fittings and alterations were done by Marge, who has the best attention to detail I have ever seen. My dress was pretty awesome right off the hanger, but Marge made it PERFECT. Every time I went back (I think I had 3 fittings) I fell a little more in love with the dress, to the point where I really never wanted to take it off. Everyone in this shop is so warm and easy to work with, I was actually a bit sad when I picked my dress up knowing I would probably not be back (they do also carry special occasion gowns, so maybe I'll need one of those someday). I had an awful experience here over the weekend! This was my first time shopping for a bridal gown, they had such great reviews I couldn’t wait to go! Don’t waste your time. When I walked in the consultant didn’t even take the time to look at the pictures I had for silhouettes I wanted to try on, she just kept handing me dresses and kept making me feel like I was bothering her. I told her I did NOT want anything covered in lace or heavy since I’m eloping and having an outdoor wedding. She brought me all lace dresses and got annoyed when I told her that’s not what I wanted. When I would tell her I didn’t like the dress on me, she would go out to my family and say “it’s a no again” or “now she’s changing her mind on the silhouette”. Isn’t that the point in your first appt? To find what you like? I only tried on 5 dresses total. Then I found a silhouette I liked and wanted to try on more in that style and she said “I don’t have anything for you”. Worst customer service and not what I pictured my appointment to be like. On my way out she said “if you change your mind again and decide you like lace come back and let me know!” So rude. I don’t recommend this...
