Pokémon TCG collectors.... STAY FAR AWAY from this store!! This is the 2nd time I've came here and I've caught them trying to sell FAKE CARDS that were showcased in the glass cases on both of my visits. The first time I came they had a fake Mega Mewtwo ex from the XY set priced at $35. I asked to see it because I knew it was a fake just from looking at. When I turned it over, I could instantly tell the card was a fake due to the faded backing of the card. I told the guy at the counter to remove it from their inventory, and he did, respectfully. Moments later, I saw another fake Mega Mewtwo card and it had the same fake printed faded backing as the other one, but I was curious because I'd never even seen that art before. I looked up the card by set and number and the art wasn't even the same as the set and number which it was supposed to represent. I also told them to remove it from their inventory. And they did. Today, about 2-3 weeks after my first visit, I went back again today to make sure they didn't place those 2 cards back for sale, which they did not. However, as soon as I started looking at the singles in the case, I immediately noticed another fake card and this one was extremely comical and should have never even made it to the display case. The back of the card looked like it was drawn by a child and it wasn't even a close attempt at the legitimate logo on the back of an English print pokemon card.

So either 1 of 2 scenarios can be assumed. Either:

A: the owner of the store has ZERO knowledge in the Pokemon TCG and has been DUPED by other people selling him fake cards. (Which I would not doubt considering the fact that most of his legitimate cards are extremely overpriced as it is. Has multiple $4-$5 cards listed at $10+)

OR ..

B: They know they're fake cards and they don't care and are willing to DUPE their customers into buying fake cards, which is what I am leaning more towards believing at this point after visiting twice and finding fake cards for sale on both of my visits.

I would STRONGLY recommend ALL Pokemon TCG collectors to stay far away from this store. ESPECIALLY parents with young kids.

There are definitely real cards for sale here, though many of them are ridiculously overpriced by at least $5-$10. I was looking up cards they had listed at $35 and they were on eBay for $15 (buy it now with free shipping), and cards they had priced at $50 were on eBay for $30.

Just seems wicked shady to me that's all I'm saying 🤷. I would not condone buying any of the singles Pokemon cards from here.

Collector since 1999 to 2001... And collector again from 2016 to current 2024 sets. And trust me I can spot a fake card as soon as I see it which I have done 3 times at this location in 2 visits.

I did purchase 2 cards today. One was priced at $10 and I showed them the $7 price online. Another was priced at $8 and I showed them the $4.95 price online. They did give me both cards for the prices I showed them, but the guy was trying to tell me a 151 Mew promo card was $30 online (LOL) .. I will most likely never buy anything from here again, but will occasionally pass by to call them out on fake cards that they're trying to pass off as...

I've been to a lot of card shops over the years, but this one truly stands out. The owner is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly genuine—someone who clearly cares about the hobby and the people who walk through the door. Whether you're a seasoned collector or just getting started, you’ll feel welcomed and treated with respect.

The pricing is always fair, and I’ve never felt pressured to buy or upsold on anything I didn’t need. It’s rare to find a shop where you can have an honest conversation about cards, value, and collecting without any gimmicks or games.

Now and Then Sports Cards and Collectibles is a fantastic store! It was clean, well-organized, and had a massive selection to browse. They carry a huge variety of trading cards that span many sports as well as different trading card games, plus an impressive collection of autographed merchandise and signed photos. The two gentlemen who helped me were very knowledgeable and friendly, which made the experience even better. Prices were great, and I left feeling great about my visit.
