Mousies Deli — Restaurant in Warwick

Alright, so we just happened to stop by this place because we were in the area and a sandwich sounded good. And wow... I didn't realize I'd been missing out like I had been by not having come in sooner!

The menu here is FULL of amazing sound sandwiches to the point where it was hard to decide on exactly what to get because I wanted at least 5 of them equally. I decided on the #16 ("Movies & More," I believe?) and my wife got the Cuban (and we got a macaroni salad to share). We both ate about half of our sandwiches and were stuffed- we definitely should have split one, but I'm glad we didn't because I'm totally waiting until I can dig into our left overs! The macaroni salad was a little too sweet for her, but I loved it (the macaroni was also cooked to perfection - very nice) and almost ordered another side of it to go even though I still have half a container left over in the fridge.

If you are in the area you HAVE to stop in and get a sandwich from this place - you will NOT be...

My husband and I have lived nearby for a couple of years, and finally have had a chance to give Mousie’s a try now that we’re on maternity/paternity leave and have weekdays off from work. Both sandwiches were delicious!

Please be aware that the pricing online is vastly different than the actual price of your sandwich.

We had trouble finding the menu online to place a to-go order, and finally found a photo posted by the restaurant on their Facebook page. Based on this pricing, our two sandwiches should have come to $15, combined. As this was posted a couple of years ago, we assumed the cost might be a few dollars higher than this menu cost. We didn’t think to ask for a total over the phone, and the employee didn’t provide one.

Once we arrived at the restaurant, our 2 sandwiches came to $25, much higher than we were expecting. They did taste great, but I’m honestly not sure we would have ordered them to begin with for that price, and I’m not sure we’d order them again...

I stopped in recently for a quick bite, having never been to Mousies Deli before. I was surprised at the large variety of offerings. I always try to select healthier choices and found quite a few. here. The counter people were so friendly and helpful. After I expressed my wish to go with a healthier selection, they started offering me all kinds of ideas and custom choices. What a pleasant surprise. I ended up with a delicious LARGE custom sandwich at a very reasonable price. I wanted to stay and have my lunch there, but I found the atmosphere to be a little dark, which was the only drawback I could find. If you are looking for something yummy and not sure what you want... this is the place to come. You'll find pleasant conversation and delicious food....
