Old World Nouveau — Local services in Washington Charter Township

I am not a person that typically enjoys shopping. My husband and i were exploring downtown Romeo before heading to Terror on Tillson. The window display caught my eye so I stopped to peak in the window and saw a beautiful and inviting shop. "I want to go in here!" I said to my husband who looked at me with some shock because that's not something he hears from me often! We were instantly greeted by the nicest people who offered us a beer or a glass of wine. They were seriously so nice that we accepted because hanging out with them for a bit seemed like an enjoyable thing to do. We later learned it was the owners of the shop, along with some of their friends. We browsed the shop and the anti-shopper (me) even fell in love with some beautiful, unusual Halloween decorations that I had to have. This is by far the coolest store in downtown Romeo. We stumbled upon it after walking the entire town and getting ready to go home. We met Donna, David (the owners) and Gina and Christine and others. These might be the nicest people we have ever met and we don’t like most people ;-). 2 hours later after a couple drinks, some appetizers and cookies, we were on our way with a carload of stuff and already plan on going back to get more. This store needs to be on everyone’s’ radar who likes to shop locally; a place with excellent service, high quality, unique items at excellent prices and nice people. We found this little gem of a shop when visiting family nearby and we were looking for a coffee shop. We found both.
