Pamelas Catering — Local services in Washington Charter Township

I generally don’t like to bad mouth a company however there is a major credibility issue with this Company and the owner Fran Salvatore. We purchased our Christmas Eve dinner for about 26 people from Pamela’s catering for approximately $500.00. The chicken Marsala was tasteless because the chicken was over cooked and the sauce was watered down and had no mushrooms. The tray of pasta we bought was supposed to serve 50 people. There was not enough to serve our group. We were short changed.

After the New Year we contacted Fran on January 10, 2024 and voiced our displeasure with this meal. She could not have been more apologetic and admitted that the sauce should have had the mushrooms and that we were shorted on the pasta as well. Fran indicated she wanted to make it right and offered to refund us our entire package or cater another event for us at no charge. She offered and insisted upon it. We advised her we would take the offered reimbursement. Since this initial conversation, we have had numerous follow up emails with her where we provided our address and contact information. We have asked if there is a problem. She has chosen now to ignore us and not follow through on her offer. She has not returned my phone call. Her website states “Our reputation is on Your Table”. It should say “Lack of Quality, lack of quantity, and most certainly, lack of integrity”.

We had a Bridal shower at Pamela’s Catering in August and the food was excellent. Very clean facility and everything was set up beautifully according to our wishes. As for the room, it has beautiful tin ceilings, a piano should you need it, and to my surprise an arbor was placed behind the area where the bridal party was to sit. Just so many extra touches that made our shower perfect. Fran is easy to work with and her staff helper, Alana, was very attentive to the guests needs. We had a tea themed shower and the table was decorated in beautiful vintage tea cups and lovely tea pots. We had Harney and Sons tea, which was very delicious, and we were offered decaffeinated tea for our guests that required no caffeine. We had a wedding welcome celebration under tent at our home with 105 guests. Pamela’s provided all the food and staff to setup, keep the food and drinks flowing all night. When the party was over they cleaned everything up and packaged all the leftovers for us. Truly great service and great food. They BBQ’d ion sight - shush kabobs of chicken, shrimp, and vegetables and had pulled pork and sliders, baked beans, and many salads.
