The doctors here are great, but the staff and nurses are slow, unconcerned, and sometimes cold. you can only book an appointment for your child one month in advance. So if you know you need to schedule your child's 6 month well visit at your 4-month appointment, you have to call back every day after one month to see if they have finally got their availability booked into the computer. One doctor told us that she had given her availability for months and months ahead of time, but it's the office staff who are unable to book your appointment. Of the 6 appointments my children have had here so far, we always are called back about 30-45 minutes after our appointments are scheduled. Our vaccine appointments take an hour at least and well child visits take over 2 hours minimum. It's a bad incentive because I know if I come up early like you should at a normal doctor's office, then I'll end of wasting significant time. the nurses who have given our children shots aren't sweet and bubbly to help them with the pain. One nurse flat out told a 2-year-old that this was going to hurt. our previous doctor weighed babies without a diaper on and without clothes on to get the most accurate weight. Here, they leave a dirty diaper on to weigh the children, and then make them wear a paper gown. This isn't necessarily bad, just seems unnecessary and inaccurate. there is no division in the waiting room for sick children versus healthy children. So if you bring your child in for a well visit, they're likely to get sick in the waiting room. The quality of the doctors is great, but the facility and staff are subpar. If you don't want those kinds of headaches, don't go to...
Read moreI absolutely hate going to this location. Last time I went it was because I needed paper work soon and they had an appointment available. I’ve been 3 times and every time they make me feel more uncomfortable than the last. Always pushing their personal ideals and agendas on you! The doctor asked me condescendingly “I see your child doesn’t have vaccines, do you want to talk about any concerns blah blah blah” My child hasn’t had vaccines in 4 years I’m pretty set on my decision! And then she preceded to ask me in different ways 3 different additional times the same question. The rest of the app became this huge power struggle of how her making sure she tells me how to treat his allergies and eczema specifically in a Way where she felt superior to make up for her bruised ego of my rejection her vaccine efforts. This isn’t the first time it’s happened at this location. I prefer the Anacostia location! They are always respectful and nurturing but honestly I think I’m gonna look to switching doctor offices all together. Even if it’s not vaccines imagine a doctor pushing any agenda on you, what if it’s putting your teen on birth control, they pressure young women into doing that too!...
Read moreThis location needs to go under intense training . The doctors here are unfortunately the issue . It seems a though they hate working in this ward and drag they feet and it shows . I took my daughter to the NW location and she was seen within 10 minutes and the doctor also spent quality time with her . At this location my son’s appt was @ 9:24 and here we are still stilling in the waiting @ 10:5 AM. Once I went to the back to get the weight at least I see at least 7 doctors and such sitting beck in the cubicles …… there is no regard for us having to go to work or for the kids needing to go to s hook how did a 9 AM appt turn into my not even being seen a full hour later .
It’s now 10:19 ; we finally made it to the back to get in a room …as we are walking back there is 2 doctors and 2 nurses dancing inside the cubicle areas when they are guest on every room needing to be seen . I’m not understanding why they are getting paid to dance and have the patients waiting over 1 hour after they appt like we didn’t take off for work . I hope someone sees this and actually try to improve the wait time ; SE residents shouldn’t be...
