This safeway is POORLY managed. This location has not been EFFICIENTLY ran since THE OUTSTANDING and EFFECTIVE leadership of Mr. Cofield's management team. Someone, on the leadership team is struggling with utilizing the sales reports, of merchandise that has sold, to assist them in their decision making in determining what items need to be reordered and stocked. The shelves are constantly empty, missing some of the same items week after week.
Secondly, there is a public safety issue that needs to be addressed by the Ward 7 Advisory Neighborhood Commisioner's and councilmember. For years this location has provided their customer base with a service called courtesy drivers. This is a service, where a customer is presented with a cost effective transportation alternative, other than metro or walking, to be driven home with their groceries. In recent years, there have been unfortunate and unsafe interactions, that customers who choose to utilize this transportation option, have encountered. Some have filled complaints of being robbed, inappropriate interactions by the drivers, merchandise coming up missing or being left inside the drivers car with no cooperation by the driver to return it, gypsy drivers pulling up defusing themselves as a Safeway courtesy driver, and performing one of the unprofessional and dangerous acts, I mentioned earlier in this review, etc. Safeway needs to investigate these accusations immediately. Whoever is managing this store need to meet with the District manager to discuss how they can bring back integrity and common courtesy to this service. They should implement similar courtesy driver program policies, like the Alabama Avenue, Se store. This location requires EACH driver to apply for this position. They must submit driver's license, contact information, photo, and other supporting documents before they are issued a courtesy I'd number and tag to place on display in their car for customers to VISIBLY see before...

Makes me question being black .. living in the hood.. no need to boycott.. they're going to tear it down for our new neighbors.. and rebuild it so by then.. it should be better.. but Honestly
The district should be ashamed of itself for allowing the treatment of its citizens to go on like this. Peoples who's ancestors built so many communities and monuments in this world. and if not a reparations, or a public apology.. then why not quietly ensure that they live well .. be kind to them in secret.. stop using the excuse "they break it down anyways".. build them up!.. as they've done and continue to do for others. Yea I take...
