I’ve been debating if I should even say anything about this because it had nothing to do with me but it’s been bothering me.
The other day I was at Electric Cafe on Minnesota Ave in DC. I’ve been there like 3 times.
I know that nowadays establishments are not open to letting people use their restrooms considering the times we live in. But I saw a woman get extremely disrespected and treated in a way I don’t believe anyone should be.
I’m going to assume she asked to use the bathroom because she was unwell. She appeared to be a Latina ,middle aged, dressed like she was heading to work maybe. A male worker told her no and asked her to leave, then he proceeded to get in her face and yelled at her in front of all the customers.
This woman appeared to really be unwell and was solely trying to gather herself. I was horrified that someone can treat another person that way. I just thought that could be my gma, mom, aunt, friend in that situation and I would want someone to speak up.
I will never return to this establishment and I will make sure to let everyone know this place disrespects ppl in...
Read moreLmaao, I should be bothered but I'm actually amused😂😂. I walked into the cafe on my way to work & as I entered the place I tossed my empty smoothie container in the trash, then sat down to eat my bagel. A very angry African man approached me, told me in a very nasty & disrespectful way that there is no outside food and to get out ( As he stared at my barely exposed breast).😂😂 He was pissed, I was laughed him off and said I understand and grabbed my things to go but don't talk to me like that, the sign was on the back door & if it was on the front where I enter, I must have missed it. He called me stupid & I almost smashed my beagle in his face but realized he wasn't worth it, I let him know he was a poor disgusting excuse for a man, then left . He is the manager of the place on top of that, I feel sorry for the children working there. Anyway I'll be reporting this...
Read moreThis food place is located at the bottom of DOES building in DC. The food here is a miss or hit. They don't season their food well which is very surprising being as though they are true Jamaicans. Honestly, the food is not the worst part here it is the customer service. The older gentleman is very rude and obnoxious. I can understand to some degree why he may act the way he does because of which the environment the business is located in, but that still does not take away having good customer service skills. They do not allow you to even drink outside water/ drinks from other places in this place and don't even think about sitting down for a few minutes without ordering something because they will scold you so much so that it makes you want to leave and not anything. Honestly, save your money and spend it where it is...
