Had a package sent by Amazon ... 2 Day shipping. Package was sent same day and arrived at Southern Ave Depot on Day of delivery. Package was out for delivery at 7am and 5:37pm I received a delivery confirmation text. Note in tracking online states package was left in mailbox. Package is too large for mailbox and package was not left at security shack ... Package not left in business office. Contacted Amazon and they filed complaint against shipper. Post office was supposed to call and never did. Waited 2 days and made sure to run into post officer in lobby. Postal guy said he did not have package but heard I was looking for package. He wanted a text with tracking number number ... SMH ... Walked off ... 4 days later called office and Office manager and delivery guy both have brain farts. Manager keep asking who I work for and what I want even after I explain I'm a customer and looking for my package ... Gave tracking info to Supervisor and Supervisor said hold on I need to print out information. She said package was delivered and I explained that it had not made it ... Supervisor hang up and did not answer phone when I called back 4 times. Horrible customer service and very unorganized. Will have to receive mail at Co workers home to avoid this branch office.    Read moreThis is very sad.... a package to be delivered on a Friday was not delivered and taken back to post office. I attempted to call the post office on Saturday morning and got no answer. I then resorted to the 800 number and an automated voice told me it was able to be picked up at the post office. I go down to the post office to find that they were not busy and perfectly capable of answering my calls from earlier, but leave that fact alone. I walk to the counter and show my ID as well as my tracking number for the package. The clerk gets up with an attitude and walked to the back to âsearchâ for my package. I stood there for 10 minutes to be told that my package was not put back properly by the facility and it was out for delivery again. I explained to her that I never got any notification of where my package was nor did I schedule the redelivery. She claimed that there is nothing she could do now. Here it is 5 hours later and still no sign of the mail carrier yet again.... Not only do I not have my mail but my motherâs gift for motherâs day is now lost and I will not be able to give it to her tomorrow. Itâs really sad......    Read moreFrom my experience from dealing with postal offices in DC have been very inconvenient when it comes to delivery of small, medium or large packages. Practically you have to hunt down your own packages and pray that you'll find it do the due of the postal carriers do not leave any notices in your mailbox or on your door anymore saying that they have your package on hold and you could come and pick it up at the post office.( I wish that they went back on putting the the notices on your door/mailbox saying that they have your package(s) and you can pick it up at the post office like they used to. It was very helpful and helped provide better customer service.) Also it's sad to say that postal offices in DC are very slow and disorganized in the process trying to update any addresses once you have moved to a new location within DC. Honestly they do treat you with respect and put out their best of effort Once Upon entering the postal office during your visit but the performance the USPS provides is in serious need to step up their game on delivery of packages and work on gaining more satisfaction of customers within...
