My husband and I have made two large purchases through Fenton Home Furnishings and have been pleased both times with the process as well as the end result. We originally chose this store as they sell Flexsteel, a brand that while somewhat expensive allows you to change out the foam in your cushions for free whenever you feel that they're becoming saggy, a worthwhile investment in our book as it's like getting new furniture when you get new foam. Most recently we purchased a sectional for our newly finished basement. We brought dimensions for the location that it would be placed, knew that the doorway to the basement was of standard width, etc, and ordered accordingly. And this was no easy task as there wasn't a ton of room; we literally found the one sectional that would fit and was deep enough for us to be able to use it casually. Unfortunately it would not make it down the stairs no matter how the movers tried. And to their credit they tried MANY different ways (and on different days with a different combination of guys) and kept their cool and professional manner. My dad and I even discussed cutting out a portion of a wall to get it down but soon realized even that wouldn't help sufficiently. Margaret and Ron went beyond what you come to expect in terms of customer service these days. They truly seemed to care about making us happy. Between scheduling the movers (one of which being from the Frankenmuth store) multiple times to finally giving up on our two piece sectional being able to fit, they were able to get Flexsteel to make our sectional a three piece rather than a two piece, and even got the cost down on the price difference between the two. I feel like this was a really stressful situation for both us as well as the store and they made it seem like it wasn't a big deal at all and that they were HAPPY to accommodate. Would I recommend them? You bet. Would we purchase from them in the...
Read moreWe have always had positive experiences when shopping at the Waterford Fenton Home Furnishings Store. The quality of their product(s) and the price(s) are very competitive with other furniture stores. The difference, in our opinion, other than quality and price of the furniture is the personal attention given to us by their employees! The Waterford Fenton Home Furnishings Store Manager, Ron Rolston, has been very accommodating whenever we have had questions. The employees, (sales staff, designers, etc...) have been very helpful in our decision making process. We have had the pleasure of meeting the founder of Fenton Home Furnishings, Gerry Willey, during one of their promotional sales. We found him to be genuine and very personable. We could tell immediately that he was committed and had strong passion for his furniture business! We would highly recommend the Waterford Fenton Home Furnishings Store to those who are seeking a quality product with people being committed to excellence. Stephen &...
Read morePoor Quality Furniture Warning.
I recently had the worst experience with Fenton Home Furnishings, and I urge everyone to avoid shopping there. I purchased a new bed set with side tables and a dresser, and the quality was atrocious considering the amount of money I paid. The furniture was riddled with small pin holes over every piece of furniture. Their excuse was that the representative of Daniel's Amish said it was normal to have pin holes on the furniture. It is an absolute eyesore, and I was completely disappointed with the purchase.
Their response to my complaint was that they would get back to me, but they never did. If you saw the furniture, you would know that it was far from acceptable. The quality was extremely poor, and I regret ever buying from this store.I can not emphasize enough how disappointed I am with the purchase, and I highly recommend that you avoid shopping at Fenton Home Furnishings. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere for your...
