I walked into this store for the very first time today. I was running late for getting my son off of the bus, so I left and came back with my son. The gentlemen at the check out counter (I didn’t catch his name) was overwhelmingly kind. My son wandered while I tried to look for good deals. My son started looking at the jewelry and mentioned to the gentleman at the counter that he wanted to get his mom (me) a specific bracelet. My son, who’s 6, obviously didn’t have any money to purchase the bracelet for me. My son then called me over to show me how beautiful it was and that he wanted me to get it for myself from him (gotta love how simple it is to be 6 again). I kindly told him that we couldn’t today, but the thought was sweet. We went back to wandering, and next thing I know my son walked up to me with the bracelet in a bag and handed it to me. He told me the man at the counter gave it to him to give to me. When I say my heart completely melted, I’m not even exaggerating. This kind man made my sons entire day! My son was so excited to give it to me! I couldn’t stop thanking the gentleman (I wish I got his name). They just don’t make people like that anymore… He was so kind.
Neeess to say, customer service is at a 10000000/10. I’ll go back every day if I can. They also have a very nice selection, and the prices are amazing! Very clean, well organized. I just loves the overall energy of the store. I walked into the St. Vincent DePaul on Dixie the other day and turned around and walked right out due to the mean mugs I received from the workers. This place was nothing like that, they’re amazing!
Thank you so much for the kind gesture! You made my son...
Read moreI find it hard to even justify one star. Went in here while waiting to get a covid test at the urgent care across the street. Big sign as you walk in 25% off hard ware. My girl asks "does that include all the Christmas stuff over here" guy replies yes its everything not clothes. Perfect, she finds a bunch of Christmas houses and little things for her village. Mind you they have SOME items here with the actual store price tag on it and they are charging 20,30,40% then when it was bought brand new. We obviously were not buying those but laughing how these "charities" have just gone too far. Go up to check out, different guy at the register. As he's ringing her up she notices items being charged full price. She asks about it and he says no these are electronics not hard goods so they are full price. She explains she specifically asked before spending half an hour looking at stuff and was told it was all included in sale. So the guy turns to the third employee working there and asks "are these electronics or hard goods". Third person third story "no those and Christmas and none of it is on sale." Needless to say we walked out furious. Three employees all on different pages, the place is a joke and I WILL NEVER step foot in, donate or support their...
Read moreThis thrift store has kind of made a name for itself for its furniture, Usually it's really good selection and condition a little bit on the pricier side. I recently moved and needed to buy a new couch. I came on the half off day and bought a couch for $75 originally priced at $150. Once I brought it home i noticed the overwelming smell of urine. I don't know why they would sell a couch hat was covered in urine. It's absolutely disgusting. On top of that, I had to borrow a trailer to pick this couch up and bring it up to my third floor apartment. I've bought furniture from here before and had an expectation of quality that this couch did not meet. I've cleaned it multiple times and can't get the smell out. I'm really disappointed and don't...
