Mother Day this year, I popped in here with my daughter and son, I loved their birra tacos. I previously had them rated 5 stars. That all changed on Mother's day. I recieved a sliver of glass in my taco which was bout an inch long. I didn't realize until chewing. Thank god when I bit down it was flat and not up and down, the sharp end would have definitely puncture me. And THANK GOD it was my food and not my kids. The girl at the counter quickly took the piece of glass from me, said she would not charge me for my meal. Then later ended up not charging me for the kids meals either. I called a couple days later to talk with a manager and was told he's not there often. I literally just finally ate mexican food again for the first time this week. (From somewhere else) What a scary thought. What if I bit down differently, what if my kids got it, what if I swallowed it... And the weird things is. It was a piece of clear glass, I dont understand, they don't even have glasses, they use plastic cups. I loved this, ate there often, obviously not no more. I really hope that they got to the root cause of how that glass ended up in my food and it never happens again. 1. The next person may not be as calm as I was about it, 2. Someone may...
Read moreSurprisingly ended up here because one of the other Mexican restaurants we went to closed for the day. Some decent Mexican that can be an alternative to your go to around the area.
Chips and salsa: they bring out mild salsa initially, so make sure you ask for hot or green if you want some different flavor. The mild was a bit sweet for my taste.
Horchata: the large is huge, share it with your significant other or kiddos. Be aware that there are no refills on refrescas or horchata. Decent amount of cinnamon flavor, not overly sweet. Would get it again.
Tacos: I had an al pastor, chorizo and lengua. lengua was tender and tasty. Al pastor was flavorful and slightly sweet from pineapple. Chorizo was a pass for me.
My wife had a combination with mole sauce on an enchilada and that had a unique flavor. Nice change up for anyone wanting to try a mole sauce.
Looks like they have specials on certain days of the week and I would say that can make it more affordable for those looking to...
Read moreThis was the first time that I went here I was driving by and saw it and I might return trip I pulled them to give a try. They had my favorite chili rellenos most places carry items like this. The staff are nice and knowledgeable I'd never want to the original Garibaldi's that is on Dixie highway but always wanted to stop there too maybe now I will. It used to be a Coney Island but I like it better as a Mexican restaurant. Would it lacks and ambiance is made up in the food being fresh and tasty. A lot of the places use bottled salsa and theirs was not bottled it was fresh or at least made in house. I told the girl that the counter that I was a wimp and hopefully that the salsa wasn't too hot she said that they had hot ones but she would just give me the mile and it was delicious. We'll...
