Tried Clicklist for the first time yesterday. Well worth it to save time and money so far. Especially when you have 2 small kids, one of them being unpredictable and crazy (2 years old). The current fee of $4.95 is free for the first 3 shops, but more than reasonable to pay as a pure timesaver. I believe I saved more money this way because I did not make any last minute impulse purchases and shopped more thoughtfully off the app cross checking active sales with app coupons (they take / apply your paper coupons on pick up). My initial bill total via the app was just under $78, which they put a hold on my card for. On pick up, once all the coupon credits we're applied, I paid just under $60. They reversed the hold and applied the discounted charge.
I tried using the service late last year when it was first introduced but they did not have same day pick up at that time even when I tried ordering earlier in the day. If you order later in the day, then pick up WILL be the next day. Earliest pick up is btw 7-8am. You do get to select your preferred store and time of pick up out of hourly range options. You also get to indicate whether an alternative product is okay or not and put in custom notes.
I was concerned about the cold / frozen food I ordered, but my frozen flounder and meatless meat was still crisp and icy. I did not order any produce yet as I like to select my own, but will give it a whirl next time based on this recent experience to see what I get.
On pick up I sat for a couple of minutes in the designated spot and did not catch the sign that said to call a number to let them know you are there. Also, I THOUGHT I clicked on the checkout box for them to text my phone once the order was ready, but did not get a message. The person who answered when I called was unsure about that and basically said that you do get a confirmation email.
When you try to check on your order through the app it sends you to the online website, which is annoying. It was annoying to also have to go to my email to double check on stuff. What's the point of a having a mostly well-designed app and not be able to check directly there. It would be nice to send the store a notice via the app while you're there vs calling first and always. I barely try to talk to ppl on the phone in real life and you're going to force me to do so to get my groceries? Ugh.
Regardless, all the Clicklist employees I interacted with were really nice. Apparently they get attaboy/girl perks for good customer service efforts when corporate sends you a post pick up...
Read moreIt blows me away that this store has an average rating of 4.1. It's the most disorganized and chronically under-stocked grocery store I've ever frequented. Whether it's a holiday blitz or normal day, this store runs out of things they just shouldn't. On multiple occasions I have been told by management or store staff that things they were out of stock in were available at their "sister store" down the road. I've also found them at the competitor grocery store down the road.
I don't have enough time to get into the cart chaos or ridiculously long lines day and night, whether at the check out or customer service desk
The redeeming attribute of this store is their people, which is a huge positive, at least for me. Thus the reason why they didn't get a one-star rating. Their people tend to be positive and professional, even when they may have been put into their jobs with less than adequate training which is far too common. That said, the management tends to make more excuses than a naughty six-year old and the service desk people can be snarky when it's really not called for.
The training issue seems to be the worst at the deli, which could be ironically funny, assuming one can get over their frustration by the predictable exercise in futility. Again, no matter the day, and assuming the person you need is actually available behind the counter, you have a 70% chance that s/he will share multiple traits with someone whose landed on planet earth just days ago and will also be blind as bat. It's uncanny.
Bottom line is that after five years of shopping here regularly, this store is predictably understaffed, under-stocked, messy, inefficient, and too frequently chaotic. It's as if everyone shops there for the same reason we do... we're too lazy to drive down the road. At least that used to be the case. But now, we do that more and more, particularly when we need a few things and don't have the time or inclination to...
Read moreThis place is absolutely the worst for customer service. I can’t begin to tell you how many times I have had to go up to service counter due to an error made I’m sure by computer technology and not human error. The only reason I give this place two stars is because the cashier, Janet, I go to faithfully every Sunday is amazing. She is kind and very engaging to her customers. However I should have called or wrote corporate regarding several employees and even recorded one, a stocker that ridiculed me as I was shopping and grabbed some reduced bags of salad I was using for a larger event that day . It was very unsettling. The so called manager yesterday who I had to see because I had to yet again question why half of my coupons were not scanned totaling over 6.00 dollars to my receipt. As my food got warm , ice cream melting , etc , she gave me a hard time over it all , after she realized she was wrong she had nerve to point out I should have thanked her ! Really and please believe what I had to go through before this situation with the guy up there before so angry he shut down wouldn’t acknowledge me and wanted punch me? So I asked for someone else and this is what I got ? I will be contacting corporate. Steer clear this store and unfortunately like me if you do have to go to service desk for anything record it . These people should lose thier jobs so many other people need work , obviously shouldn’t be allowed work with the public . I’ve been working as a dental assistant 35 years patient aren’t always pleasant but they are...
