Mr Puja, I have been purchasing my groceries from the Meijers Waterford location since 2009. My wife and 3 kids have spent a considerable amount over the years. The Waterford location is only 3 miles from my house and I always envied those who got to shop at the White Lake location because it has outstanding customer service, it is well stocked, and clean. Waterford location has always had issues with out of stocks, and dirty and painfully long check out lanes. There are consistent, loyal, and friendly employees there which I enjoy. Tonight on 6/6/19, I was trying to check out with my wife and 3 young children and the card reader was not working as the cashier told me it had been having issues. I attempted to walk out to my vehicle to grab a different payment option but it turned 9pm and an employee told me to walk to the other side to exit. As walked down to the end to exit and walk back to the other side of the parking lot Mr Tarsi decided to override the employee that turned me away and proceeded to let out several customers. It is now after 9pm and I still haven’t finished checking out while my wife and 3 small children are waiting forever for me to grab a different card due to the half functioning indigo card reader. This may not seem like a lot to you but at the end of a long work day it is enough to piss me off. After I spent 7-10 minutes walking I caught up with Mr Tarsi and he sarcastically said well I can let you out now! Let me guess you’ll share this with your team and you want everything to visit your link. NO thank you! I deserve a better experience. It’s unfortunate because Meijers has always been where my family shopped growing up and where my family now has shopped but I cannot stand the inconsistency. I will have to give Kroger a try and I don’t want too. Abysmal customer service, enough is enough. 15k a year and I’m low balling that figure might not be a lot to lose for the Meijer family but it will be welcomed anywhere else I buy...
Read moreI purchased a item out of this store and I paid cash. I went to return it and Eric.G and Steve.G said.that because I didn't have a receipt that they could not give me my cash back. They said that they could give me a meijer credit card, I said I didn't give you plastic so why should I be given plastic back. They said that unless I paid with a credit card and I can bring something in showing I paid for it with a card they could not help me. I said so you are depending on my to show you proof that I paid for something that you should have in your on system. The other lady said yes, we don't have a way to tell how you paid for it without a receipt, so I said are you say that a person can come in meijers and still something, bring it back and there is know way that you can tell how a person paid for it, she said yes.
I think that this return policy is not consumor friendly and if I come in meijers and spend my hard earned money with meijers and I don't get back me money the way I paid for it. This is not customer service and telling your customers that the only way to get there money back is back giving them a meijers credit card that is only good at meijers, this is not giving your customers there money back. It's forcing your customers to only use meijers money and that's not how you got your customers money.
I believe that there is a purchase item scam number on everything and that number should tell you how a customer purchased something. As consumers we should not have to go through this because you don't have the right system in place to make sure your not getting ripped off.
I should not have my money tied up with a meijers card because meijers don't want to give me back my cash that I paid for the item with.

I'VE CALLED CORPORATE SEVERAL TIMES AND EMAILS SPOKE TO STORE MANAGERS AND NOTHING HAS BEEN ADDRESSED. PEOPLE Don't GO TO THE PHARMACY BECAUSE WE WANT TO BUY CANDY OR HANG OUT WE'RE SICK!! AND UNFORTUNATELY SOME OF US ARE TERMINALLY ILL. I'M A RETIRED NURSE NOT BY CHOICE. MY HEALTH MADE THAT CHOICE FOR ME.
