I would rather give them NO stars! I ordered the chicken strips and fries for myself and husband, get home and open the bags, the chicken Strips are nothing like the photos, tiny small things, and those fries, disgusting, they were gross looking, warm and floppy, not like hot fries that have substance/structure to them, so off I go to return everything. There was no way I was eating this and my husband felt the same way. So back to checkers to replace my order, with a burger, with NO fries. No problem with those strips, even the person there said they are very small pieces, but accused me of eating some of the fries, so no refund on the fries!!!! I told this person I had not eaten any of those fries, this person kept saying they had filled the fries all the way, well, I had not eaten any, so no, they did not, but this person just kept repeating it. It's the principle of the thing, I should not be made to look like I am lying, or trying to pull a fast one. I should not have to stand there and argue with the person that is working there to defend myself of being accused of lying. This person even has another employee approach me, I explained why I was there and about the problem with the fries, and that I had not eaten any, this employee looks me right in the face and tells me to speak up!!! I am old, this voice is not loud, I apologize and try to raise my voice, this employee just stands there with a blank face. Finally I told this employee I will be contacting the Corporate office, the person steps up, said they are not a Corporate store. Well, so be it, I will still be making a call, I should never be treated like this, nor should anyone else that walks in that place. I do not expect things to be perfect wherever I go, but I do expect respect and quality in what I am there for, even in a fast food place...
Read moreI had to change my rating after my experience today. I went through the drive thru and couldn't find anything on the menu about kid's meals. It might have been there and I just couldn't see it, but I asked the employee who was working the drive thru if they have any kids meals. She sounded so miserable. I mean, truly. She definitely hates her job and isn't afraid to let you know. She listed the kids meals and I ordered the chicken bite meal. I then asked her if they have milk. She said "what" as if it were the stupidest question ever. I repeated myself and she said that they do not. So I asked if they had any juice. Again she said "what" and I repeated myself again, this time asking if maybe they had juice boxes. She again asked what as if she'd never even heard of juice boxes. At this point a man came over the speaker saying that they do not, they only have soft drinks. Well, I was ordering for a toddler, and I wasn't about to buy her pop. He suggested a water bottle. I then ordered myself a cheeseburger and a small diet. The girl came back on and asked if I wanted an American cheese burger or a checkers cheese burger. I asked the difference and she just said never mind and gave me the total. After I got the food from her while she glared at me and talked to the next car in the drive thru as if her life were the most boring life possible, I took it home and sat down to eat it with my kid. Her food was fresh which was nice, but my cheeseburger was plain. Nothing on it, no sauce, no pickles, nothing. And it was cold. Completely disappointing. I don't plan on ever eating at a Checker's again. Maybe consider having some healthier options for the kids menu and...
Read moreI waited 20 minutes for one meal and some mozzarella sticks. There was nobody else inside and they had at least 5, maybe 6, people behind the counter. After 16 minutes, I heard them say that they were just STARTING to make my burger. They seemed more concerned about the people in the drive-thru that ordered after me, than they did about me. I've had a bad experience here when it first opened, where the manager basically told one of his employees (not very quietly either), after I was not given the fries that came with my MEAL that I paid for, "she didn't pay for them, but give them to her anyway." So after I got my fries, I tore the receipt off of my bag and put it on the counter and told their employee "this is so he can see that I PAID for my fries". So, ever since that incident, I'm always hesitant to go back here. But apparently, if I ever DO come back, I'll have go through the drive-thru since those seem to be the only customers...
