ClosetCraft — Local services in Watertown

Working with the ClosetCraft team was great. Not only is their price much better than the national Closet Companies, interacting with them is much less stressful.

One national competitor was constantly hounding us, demanding to get on video calls each time, refusing to simply communicate via email. A second national competitor straight refused to design the closet the way we wanted; kept telling us our plan was "wrong" and their plan was "better".

ClosetCraft, meanwhile, responded always via email or text. They have a local showroom which was great to see the quality of the materials, which are exactly the same as the competition, only better priced.

Their installers were on time, and had it done quickly, even though they had to walk up several flights of stairs. I even offered to help them carry but they politely declined.

Look at the photos to see for yourself. Our closet was pretty sad with cheap home-depot shelves and hanging rods. Now it's fully functional for the two of us with plenty of storage space, yet we are able to still move around and not feel claustrophobic.

Lastly, when we discovered part of the installation needed to be slightly modified, they had someone out the very next day. Responsive, professional, and great value. ...

I'll start with the good: we're really happy overall with the closets that Closet Craft built for us- they look nice and have made a big difference, storage-wise, in our bedroom. They were able to install most of the closets pretty quickly.

The less good: After the initial install, it took a full month to complete the work b/c they received damaged parts from their supplier, at least twice.

When they returned a month later to install the doors, we asked them to put backs on the two open shelves, which they did for one, not the second. When I asked why not for the second shelf, the installers told me it was b/c the second shelf wasn't part of the original plan, so they wouldn't put a back on it. They could take the shelf back, if I preferred. We were pretty surprised by this response! The workmanship on the single shelf backing is a little shoddy- there are gaps at the top and they left it with dirty marks.

We noticed impact protectors on one spot on just one of the doors. Why would they miss putting those on the other doors? Not sure if it was because they ran out of the impact protectors, or if the install team wasn't...

I had a wonderful experience with ClosetCraft. Eshai came up with a great design for my two closet redesigns, plus creating a closet for scratch from an alcove. His advice was spot-on, and I'm completely thrilled with my new, organized spaces. The installation was also well done, friendly and professional. Chris and Ilya came very early to accommodate my schedule, and because I had to leave for work, they carefully locked my house after them as I requested. I came home to my beautiful new closets, and I never knew I could be so excited about something as mundane as a closet! Now I keep thinking of other projects ClosetCraft might be able to tackle for me... I should add that I had three vendors come out and give me quotes, and the superiority of Eshai's design and advice were...
