The theater itself was and included heated recliners.
The bathrooms and lobby were kept clean and orderly.
The popcorn is not fresh and comes pre bagged before dumping into their containers.
(Caught an employee filling from a large plastic bag it in between shows)
However they have self serve butter which is wonderful for butter lovers.
They offer meal options like fries and chicken strips. These sound lovely but are oven baked and were burnt to a crisp (black around the edges)
Tickets for a standard evening movie for one are well above 9$ for a 2D Movie.
They charge 5$ for a single cup if your looking for a free cup to fill up with water with your popcorn, you'll be disappointed.
They have an annual popcorn bucket which is a great price saver if you are and avid movie watcher.
Their large popcorn is under 8$ before tax, and allows 1 free refill which is wonderful if you have a big group/family or would like to bring some home after the movie.
For a single person buying a movie and large popcorn you will spend over 20$ with tax.
if your looking to wash that popcorn down youll want to bring 40$ to be safe as it's well over 35$ and close to that price with tax included.
For a couple, you'd likely be looking at closer to 40-50$ if you share a drink and popcorn.
Fairly expensive, but the theaters include heated recliners which were clean and are very comfortable.
Much better price point than regal cinemas in Augusta, which also offers the heated recliner option.
I would recommend the Farmington movie theater or skowhegan movie theater if you're looking to save money, don't care about recliners, and would like to avoid big crowds.
All in all would return again if I was looking to spend a large bit of money and wanted to recline to...
Read moreThe popcorn is fresh, regardless of what people here say. The kettle is clearly visible out back. They pop it and bag it up because they are a BUSY THEATRE who would run out of popcorn if they didn't stock it up ahead of time. Concession pricing is average, and WAY less than Augusta (Regal). To the guy who said no handicapped seating? Yeah, they do. And pretty sure if they didn't, they'd be in violation of several laws. The place is always clean when I go in. The seats are high-back and recline, but they're not the stupid leather lay-z-boy recliners, thank God. If they were, I wouldn't even be able to see a movie, because (much like Regal) they sell out EVERY SHOW. That would happen when there's only 20 seats in each auditorium. Anyone who complains about this, or any theatre like it, is an idiot. Flagship is perfectly fine, people are great and friendly. But again, it's a movie theatre. You're not there for the concessions, you're there to see a movie. If you're going to complain about pricing, don't go. Movie theatres make zero off tickets sales; it's all from concessions. If you want theatres to thrive, buy something to eat. If you're too cheap or poor to afford the food, stay home and get a RedBox movie. Most of the people who have given this theatre a review are clearly idiots. My favorite is the woman who wanted them to play "Saving Christmas" last year, you know - one of the lowest-grossing, worst rated movies of all time. Sorry lady, but theatres can't take up valuable screen space on crap movies that no one...

I went to a late night showing of Spiderman: Homecoming, and while I enjoyed the movie, there were a few major things that make me question whether or not I will return:
The screen. In the section of the theater I was watching the movie on, the screen had a big dark square in the center, probably from the projector if I had to guess, that stayed throughout the film, and was very prominent/obvious. It was distracting, and made my entire experience unpleasant. I have since returned to watch a movie, and the screen issue wasn't the same. The only thing I can complain about was the quality. It was lackluster at best. Somewhat blurry and seemingly out of focus, strained my eyes to focus on all of the details. Why would I go to a movie theater to watch with a bunch of strangers on a low-tier screen, when I could just wait for digital release and watch in 4k+ in the comfort of my own home?
The seats themselves were comfortable, but without the ability to recline, it was uncomfortable to the point where my lower back hurt by the end of the movie.
If you have the transportation that allows you to go to other well respected theaters outside of Waterville, I would suggest you go to that one. I am stuck with the Waterville location, where I have to bike for 20 minutes to...
