I have been a loyal customer here for YEARS, coming every two weeks faithfully. I even followed these workers here from the Athens location. However, today, was my last time here as I am extremely disappointed in the state of this salon right now.
In the last 3-6 months, the prices have gone up an extreme amount, like everything else has in America, so we were able to look past that. What we are not able to look past, however, is the level of service that has significantly decreased over the last few months. The men rush your pedicures, some of them donât know how to shape your nails, and two weeks ago during my pedicure the lady dug SO deep into the side of my toe that I couldnât even apply pressure on the foot to walk for two days afterwards.
With that being said, a tip is something that is earned, and the service that we have received over the last few months has not been tip worthy - ESPECIALLY not todayâs experience. Now, my usual technician, Lucy, is on maternity leave, so Iâve been floating around between different techs, not necessarily happy with the result of any of them. However, after the experience we had two weeks ago, we decided to make appointments with specific techs because Jenny completely botched my nails last time (and didnât get a tip). When we get there, we are ignored for 30 minutes. When we finally sit down, none of us have any of the people weâve requested, due to âno receptionistâ being there. They send Jenny over to me again. I told her I had an appointment with Alice. She tells me Alice is very busy and canceled my appointment. When was that going to be communicated to me? I ultimately decided not to get my nails done because I did not want her to do them. My mom had an appointment with Q and my sister had an appointment with Raymond.
Alice convinced me to let her sister, Annie, do my nails which was fine. I appreciated her attempting to remedy the situation. Annie did a great job. My sister had Raymond and was satisfied as well. My mom decided not to get her nails done because Q couldnât do them. However, it wasnât that Q couldnât do them, it was said to us that Q did not WANT to do her nails because she did not tip. With that attitude, WHO WOULD TIP?? Furthermore, if Iâm paying $80-$90 for nails I should be satisfied with those nails. That is a nearly 30% increase from what I was paying just six months ago.
I am disappointed in the level of customer service and lack of professionalism and will NOT be back. My advice to the owner, Jaden - you may want to get back in there ASAP before your employees run your business in the ground. There needs to be some SERIOUS TRAINING so that all employees deliver the same level of service we were receiving 6 months to a year ago, and therefore earn their tips - if thatâs what they really want. As for me, however, I will NEVER leave a tip for bad service. And I will NEVER step foot in this...
Read moreEDIT: the price listed under my name is per person Went again the Tuesday after Motherâs Day. Took my mother-in-law for her first time there, and me and my daughter who have been getting our nails done for over six years regularly, including this salon since they opened. This was a terrible terrible experience. Not only where we overcharged for everything but they were extremely rude the entire time we were there like we were inconveniencing them. We did come in an hour and a half before closing for three manicures and pedicures. But if they couldnât accommodate us, all they had to do was say so. Instead of treating us like crap the entire time we were there, especially with the outrageous prices they charge. The only nice person out of the entire group was the one doing my mother-in-lawâs manicure. Way more expensive than any other nail salon around here for mediocre service. We probably wonât be returning this time. After multiple tries and it just gets worse, I think Iâll spend less elsewhere for the same result.
Our first time was amazing! I was so excited to have a good quality nail salon close to home FINALLY! Our second time was not a great experience. My daughter and I have been getting our nails done together every couple of weeks since she was in the six grade, and she is now a sophomore in high school. The nail technician kept telling her to stop moving, when she wasnât even moving at all. Sheâs not new to getting her nails done. And these were for homecoming so she wanted them perfect. They didnât ask her if she wanted them shortened which most nail salons do and she forgot to tell them. Before any color or anything was put on we realize this and asked them to be shortened and they said it was too late. Yes they wouldâve had to reshape them a little bit but they couldâve shorten the nails. You could tell I was a little bit irritated by this point, but we were still completely respectful of the technicians as I realize their jobs can be difficult. But then charged me and her both extra just because of his irritation I guess. Iâm hesitant to come back because this is a time for me and her to spend together and relax. And this last time did not leave us feeling relaxed. It actually made us stressed because she had these extremely long nails that she was gonna have to deal with for two weeks. We ended up having to go to another salon and get them shortened. The salon we typically use. I was very sad about the...
Read moreI called on 5/19 at 12:00pm and asked if my nail tech would be available today. I was told she would be there at 3 and I asked if I could make an appointment. The lady said yes I made an appt for 3pm. I got a call at 2:48pm when I was already on my way saying she was running late and wouldnât be there till about 3:30, obviously this is not ideal but I said as long as someone can soak my nails off so I would be ready for her at 3:30 that would be fine. I have plans and only planned on being there till 4:15pm the latest, which is about how long it usually takes. I get there at 3:02pm and the tech is working on someone else. At 3:17 I asked if someone is available to start soaking off my nails. I was still waiting at 3:48pm. I just asked them to finish removing my nails because obviously I wouldnât be able to get what I needed in time. I understand running late 15 minutes but almost an hour when an appointment was made is unfortunate. If I make an appointment I try my best to be on time and be respectful of others time. I completely understand things happen but why make appointments if youâre not able to honor them? And why start someone elseâs nails if you know you have an appointment and wonât be done in time for your appointment? If I had 2/3 hours to hang out and wait I wouldnât have made an appointment. Iâve been going to the downtown location since theyâve opened and started coming to wire park because some of the techs I like are there also. This has never been an issue. Edit: The pregnant lady at the front seemingly had an attitude, when I walked in I signed in stood there for a few minutes and no one came up so I picked out my color and went back to front where she just waved me to sit down without saying a word, she was very short and seemed annoyed when I asked if someone was available to start taking my nails off and in the 50 plus minutes I waited not once even apologized for the wait or gave an update on how much longer it would be. I think her overall attitude made the...
