I am not even sure how to write a review that will do Poetry in Motion: Karen, Andrea and their whole team and the hard work and amazing catering, justice.

My family owns Nestldown and for us to be able to sit back, relax and not side eye whether or not a vendor was doing things the right way or respecting the rules and our home, we knew that Poetry was the only caterer that would allow us to do that; we were right!!

From the first meeting, talking about the extensive plans, set up, guest count and expectations... Karen and Andrea took them and succeeded in strides. They never once made me question my decision or feel worried about anything having to do with set-up or the way the day would run!

They spent months planning and working with Danny Thomas rental company to get our perfect dining set up, staffed a skilled and excited team and were constantly checking and double checking to make sure everything was right - all while making us feel like family!

When the day came, they had their team perfectly carry out our vision for the day. From the table set up and tabletop display, seating cards, passed and stationed appetizers, passed beverages post ceremony, dinner, and desserts - they were AMAZING!!! When I look back, there was't a single thing I could change - except that as a couple, you don't usually eat that much (since you're always on the go) so take advantage of your tastings!! However, Andrea, who is the front of house made sure we had food and ate first!! She got our dinner from the buffet for us so we could then go socialize!!!

Dinner: The food was spectacular. There were no complaints, only compliments and awe. We had a few friend who had severe food allergies and Karen came up with the perfect (probably the best Ravioli that we have ever had) dish to suit their needs: Mushroom stuffed Gluten and Dairy free Ravioli in a Truffle sauce. It was to die for - my husband and I love meat but we wanted that more!!!!

They did our whole dessert bar, which despite the don't eat before cake cutting, was devoured because people thought it was so delicious.

It was the absolute best day of our lives and for my parents. The fact that we were able to enjoy and not have to worry about a thing made the day that much more relaxed and special!!!

All Nestldown couples know my recommendation but for others looking for a caterer, no need to look any further! I would give them 30 out of 5 stars if I could (as cheesy as that sounds!!)

If you really want the food at your wedding to feel personal and unique (not to mention delicious of course!), definitely go with Catering in Motion. While researching various wedding caterers, we noticed that most catering companies will have pre-set menus that you can choose a certain number of items from. They give you their lists of appetizers, salads, entrees etc. and you select the ones that sound the best to you. But PIM takes a different approach.

When we first reached out to Karen she did send us sample menus from previous weddings but she also asked us to send her a list of foods that we both really enjoy eating. I have the palate of a 5 year old so I didn’t think she could do much with my list of french fries and cheeseburgers but I was pleasantly surprised. She sent us back a sample menu of foods she thought we would enjoy based on our list. Have you ever had cheeseburger meatball bites and sweet potato waffle fries with fresh guacamole as an appetizer? Because I have now, and they were SO good! And her pigs in a blanket took me back to childhood just like that scene in Ratatouille! Our food ended up being fun and creative and things that my husband and I actually wanted to eat on the day of our wedding!

The process was easy and they were also able to manage our party rentals through Danny Thomas so it was one more thing off our plate. Karen answered all of our questions, responded to all of my emails and happily made changes to our final menu to better fit our tastes and accommodate different dietary needs. They provided us with our bartenders too and even helped us come up with our signature cocktails for the day.

They set up everything beautiful and really took care of us and our guests. The food was delicious and our guests really enjoyed it. They even offered to pack us up some food to take back to the hotel at the end of the night. I would love the chance to work with them again...
